    "description": "<h2>Position Scope</h2>\n<p>We are seeking a <strong>Project Coordinator</strong> to support our Operations team by providing support to the Project Manager in the planning, development and coordination of large heavy construction and earthworks projects in multiple areas across Canada and the United States. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>In addition the Project Coordinator will be involved with the interpretation of plans and specifications for projects, contract administration and project controls requirements as well as construction activities associated with the project requirements. Our people are what make North American Construction Group an industry leader, its our people that keep the largest fleet of equipment in Western Canada running and it's our people that keep our job sites safe.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>What’s In It for You?</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Health and Safety is our #1 priority, and we live it 3-6-5!</li>\n <li>Market aligned salary & bonus program</li>\n <li>Comprehensive health benefits coverage and employer paid premiums</li>\n <li>GRRSP matching program</li>\n <li>Exposure to some of the largest heavy equipment fleets in Western Canada</li>\n <li>Paid vacation and personal time</li>\n <li>Tuition reimbursement program and career growth and development</li>\n <li>Social culture and employee events </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>What You'll Be Doing</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Field Coordination</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Support daily work planning and execution </li>\n <li>Monitor field productivity, quantities, and equipment utilization</li>\n <li>Assist with work sequencing, logistics planning, and resource coordination</li>\n <li>Participate in field tours, hazard assessments, and pre-job planning</li>\n <li>Assist with QA/QC activities including field verification, Inspection and test plans, and design compliance</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Project Tracking & Reporting</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Track quantities, labour and equipment time, production rates, and project progress</li>\n <li>Support cost tracking, budget control, and commitment management</li>\n <li>Assist with monthly forecasting </li>\n <li>Identify variances between plan vs. actual and recommend corrective actions</li>\n <li>Support change management, RFI coordination, and client reporting </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Estimating</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Assist with estimates, take-offs, and bid preparation</li>\n <li>Support subcontractor and rental equipment coordination</li>\n <li>Participate in planning and kick-off meetings with client and operations teams</li>\n <li>Develop and improve reporting tools and tracking systems</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Continuous Improvement & Performance Optimization</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Analyze production and cost data to identify opportunities to improve productivity and efficiency</li>\n <li>Develop scope specific safety documentation in collaboration with the site safety team and superintendents</li>\n <li>Support optimization of equipment utilization, and work sequencing and net production hours</li>\n <li>Recommend practical field improvements that reduce delays, rework, or waste</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>What Makes You the ONE</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mining Engineering, or related technical field</li>\n <li>0–5+ years’ experience in heavy civil, mining, or earthworks construction preferred</li>\n <li>Ability to work in the United States</li>\n <li>Ability to obtain TN Visa (with company assistance)</li>\n <li>Strong Excel and computer skills</li>\n <li>Strong organizational, communication and technical writing skills</li>\n <li>Comfortable working in fast-paced, field-based environments</li>\n <li>Valid driver’s license</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Summary</h2>\n<p>If you are chosen to move forward in our hiring process for a site-based role, you will be asked to provide the following:</p>\n<li>Have a valid Class 5 Driver’s License and ability to provide a recent Driver’s Abstract</li>\n<li>Valid CSO</li>\n<li>Be subject to Random Testing at: Suncor, Suncor Fort Hills and Kearl sites</li>\n<li>Undergo and successfully pass the following pre-employment testing:</li>\n<ul>\n <li>Breath Alcohol Test</li>\n <li>Urine Drug Test</li>\n <li>Fitness-to-Work Health Assessment</li>\n <li>Audiometric Testing</li>\n <li>Vision Screening</li>\n</ul>\n<p>We know you see tons of job postings every week so thanks for making it this far.
