    "description": "<h2>Position Overview</h2>\n<p><strong>Schedule:</strong> Part time, 2-3 days a week <strong>Department:</strong> Sleep Medicine<strong>Hospital:</strong> UAB St. Vincent's Chilton <strong>Benefits for eligible positions include:</strong> generous paid time off, paid parental leave, Associate Assistance Program, Tuition Reimbursement Program, and more UAB St. Vincent's is looking for a Sleep Medicine Physician for our UAB St. Vincent's Medical Group.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to partner with UAB St. Vincent's to provide medical services to patients.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Position Highlights:</strong></p>\n<p>Flexible scheduleCommunity care hospital with small town feelAbility to partner with other specialists for support</p>\n<h2>What You Will Do</h2>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Evaluates and treats patients with appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills. </li>\n <li>Recommends, participates in, and works to ensure the success of efforts to improve cost effectiveness and quality of care provided to patients.</li>\n <li>Accepts patient referrals from other physicians. Acts as admitting, attending and/or consulting physician for patients who require hospitalization for primary medical diagnoses, depending on needs of patients, medical staff and hospital.</li>\n <li>Participates in academic programs (e.g. medical education and research) as requested.</li>\n <li>Provides appropriate documentation that meets insurance company requirements; appeal all denials in a timely manner.</li>\n <li>Participates in inpatient and outpatient consultation for specialty, which may include on call schedules.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>What You Will Need</h2>\n<p><strong>Licensure/Certification/Registration:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Licensed Graduate Doctoral Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Alabama Board of Medical Examiners obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.</li>\n <li>Advanced Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) preferred.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Education:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>About UAB St. Vincent’s</h2>\n<p>UAB St. Vincent’s, a proud part of UAB Medicine, is a trusted provider of health care, serving Alabama for more than 125 years.
