This career track is tasked with providing designs for utility systems including but not limited to:  Overhead and underground circuits for joint use, lighting, and commercial, industrial and residential development and gas and generation systems.  This track is also responsible for field data collection and assists with storm restoration when requested.  This role involves handling moderately complex design projects and providing support to others for more complex projects with significant independence.  The DT IV will directly communicate with clients/customers and construction crews to progress their projects.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This position primarily involves working in an office environment.  There is an expectation of significant field work, which may include exposure to inclement weather conditions such as extreme heat/cold, high humidity, rain, snow and icy conditions.</p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Key Technical Skills Required:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>CAD experience</li>\n <li>Power Distribution experience</li>\n <li>Pole Analysis software</li>\n <li>WMS experience (ex. Maximo)</li>\n <li>Understanding of Electrical Components</li>\n <li>Circuit knowledge of electrical components</li>\n <li>Advanced distribution techniques (switchgear, cap bank)</li>\n <li>Conduit systems</li>\n <li>Advancing knowledge of reliability schemes</li>\n <li>Field and work zone safety</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Your key responsibilities include:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Independently performing field data collection and project specific inspections for complex projects, accurately and efficiently.</li>\n <li>Producing high-quality computer-aided design drawings and a list of materials needed for the construction of moderately complex projects and providing support required by supervision for more complex tasks. </li>\n <li>Ensuring all necessary communications are documented on projects designed as required by training. </li>\n <li>Providing guidance and training to peers and newer designers for simple projects.</li>\n <li>Producing permitting documentation as needed independently.</li>\n <li>Demonstrating the ability to communicate with clients and lead site meetings with oversight.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This role will work independently with limited oversite, but under supervision for mentorship, guidance and training.  </p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p>High School Diploma or equivalent, and seven years relevant work experience, or an Associate’s Degree and five years of distribution design- related work experience.</p>\n<p>Valid driver’s license.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Pre-employment drug screening and background check are conditions of employment. Motor vehicle checks may be required based upon position.</p>\n<p> </p>",
