    "description": "<h2>Job Summary</h2>\n<p><strong>Aptive Resources</strong> is hiring a <strong>Physician Extenders NP (Family Medicine) </strong>to join our team of talented professionals who provide healthcare services to our U.S. military and their families at <strong>Evans Army Community Hospital </strong>located at <strong>Fort Carson CO.</strong></p>\n<p><strong>Employment Status: Full-time</strong></p>\n<p><strong>Compensation: </strong>This is an hourly position, paid bi-weekly $66.5/hr.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Schedule: </strong>This position has the following shifts: Mon-Fri, 0730-1630. Hours are subject to change, and may include nights, weekends, or home call if future need arises. The Contract employee shall work no more than 40 hours per week without prior authorization from the supervisor or department chief.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Benefits:</strong> Competitive financial package with a comprehensive insurance package including health, dental, vision, and life coverage.</p>\n<p>Accrued Paid Time Off (PTO)</p>\n<p>Paid Holidays (Outlined in Handbook)</p>\n<p>401(k) Plan</p>\n<h2>Primary Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Core Duties:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Provide a full range of outcome-based nurse practitioner services in accordance with privileges granted by the MTF ( e.g., supervise and provide general screening and medical care and examinations of patients for routine, acute and chronic conditions involving any and all organ systems; provide immunizations; diagnose, treat, and counsel patients as indicated).</li>\n <li>Technically direct and teach other staff, provide evidenced-based educational lectures and participate in in-service training to staff members. </li>\n <li>Diagnose and treat patients with common acute conditions, chronic illnesses, or minor trauma within accepted protocols, clinical practice guidelines, Nurse Practice Acts, and/or in consultation with a physician.</li>\n <li>Promote preventive care and health maintenance including annual physical, positive health behaviors and self-care through both formal and individual education and counseling. </li>\n <li>Communicate and collaborate with a diverse group of people for the purpose of informing the healthcare team of plans/actions, for teaching/education to benefit the patient/family and organization. Recognize conditions that require isolation and ensure universal precautions are used in all patient encounters.</li>\n <li>Attend staff meetings to provide case discussion, continuing education, and continuous quality improvement and safety.</li>\n <li>Recognize conditions that require isolation and ensure universal precautions are used in all patient encounters.</li>\n <li>Communicate and collaborate with a diverse group of people for the purpose of informing the healthcare team of  plans/actions, for teaching/education to benefit the patient/family and organization.</li>\n <li>Technically direct and teach other staff, provide evidenced-based educational lectures and participate in in-service training to staff members.</li>\n <li>Promote preventive care and health maintenance including annual physicals, positive health behaviors and self-care through both formal and individual education and counseling</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Minimum Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Minimum Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Degree: Master’s degree in nursing.</li>\n <li>Education: Graduate from an academic program, within the nursing specialty field of study that is accredited by a regional or national nursing accrediting agency recognized by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).</li>\n <li>Certification: Certified in the specialty required by the TO as a Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or the recognized national nursing certification organization for the specialty area of practice as appropriate (for example, National Certification Board of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners and Nurses, American Nurses Association, National Certification Corporation for the Obstetric, Gynecologic and Neonatal Specialties).</li>\n <li>Experience: One year of experience within the last two years in a primary care provider role seeing patients of all ages</li>\n <li>Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license as a Nurse Practitioner. </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>About Aptive</h2>\n<p>Arrow ARC supports Veterans Health Administration facilities and offices across the U.S. with health care staffing and program support via the 10-year Integrated Critical Staffing Program (ICSP).
