As a Platform Engineer, you’ll have the opportunity to be on the forefront of driving a major transformation within Capital One.</span></p><p></p><p><span>The Operational Excellence team within the Cyber Identity and Access Management (IAM) organization is looking for a multi-domain, technical, subject matter expert to join the team that provides architecture, engineering, and production support across the entire IAM portfolio with a focus on improving automation, resiliency, and reliability. This position works closely with application engineers in the Cyber division, functional counterparts across the enterprise, and IAM Engineering leadership.</span></p><p></p><p><b><b>What You’ll Do</b><b>:&#xa0;</b></b></p><ul><li><p><span>Work with engineers, architects, and other groups to identify technical and functional needs of systems and applications to improve the automation, resiliency, and reliability across the IAM portfolio.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Lead initiatives designed to improve the health and availability across the IAM application portfolio including automating processes, defining new patterns, reducing one off solutions, and creating a more resilient, secure, and available set of IAM services.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Lead and support&#xa0; responses to operational disruptions and champion long-term solutions and systems improvements to enhance the stability, reliability, and resiliency of IAM applications and infrastructure.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Influence IAM application teams in adopting technologies, processes, and best practices that improve the craftsmanship, availability, resilience and scalability of IAM solutions</span></p></li><li><p><span>Constantly think ahead about what is coming and how we adapt in a proactive way and design with operational excellence from the start.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Provide consulting and hands-on support to multiple product areas to resolve application deployment and management issues with a focus on minimizing impact to our customers.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Participate in the design, development, testing, and release of new capabilities and features with focus on release and post-production support.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Drive improvements to processes and design enhancements to automation to continuously improve the production environment.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Bring a passion to stay on top of tech trends, experiment with and learn new technologies, participate in internal &amp; external technology communities, and mentor other members of the engineering community</span></p></li><li><p><span>Encourage innovation, implementation of cutting-edge technologies, inclusion, outside-of-the-box thinking, teamwork, self-organization and diversity</span></p></li><li><p><span>Utilize scripting languages like Python, SQL, Ruby and groovy, Container Orchestration services including Docker and ECS, CM tools including Ansible and Terraform, and a variety of AWS tools and services&#xa0;</span></p></li></ul><p></p><p><b><b>Basic Qualifications:</b></b></p><ul><li><p><span>High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification</span></p></li><li><p><span>At least 8 years of experience with engineering and operational support of IAM services such as identity lifecycle management, user and application authentication and authorization, privileged access management or native cloud IAM services.</span></p></li><li><p><span>At least 6 years of experience with AWS, Azure or Google Cloud</span></p></li><li><p><span>At least 2 years of experience supporting the infrastructure component of applications</span></p></li></ul><p></p><p><b><b>Preferred Qualifications:</b></b></p><ul><li><p><span>AWS certifications for Developer, Solutions Architect, or SysOps Administration</span></p></li><li><p><span>2+ years of experience in Agile practices</span></p></li><li><p>2<span>+ years of experience with </span><span>multiple programming languages such as C++, Java, Python, or SQL</span></p></li></ul><p></p><p><b><b>At this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position.</b></b></p><p></p><p><span>The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location.
