Proudly recognized as a <em>Distinguished Club</em>, a <em>Platinum Club of the World</em>, and a <em>Platinum Club of America</em>, we are seeking a full-time Tennis Professional to join our racquets team and help deliver a best-in-class tennis experience for our members and their guests.</p><p><strong>Position Overview</strong></p><p>The Tennis Professional will work closely with the Tennis Director to support all aspects of the tennis operation, including instruction, programming, events, and day-to-day member service. This is a highly visible, member-facing role in a refined, fast-paced country club environment.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Provide <strong>high-level private and group instruction</strong> for adults and juniors (clinics, drills, cardio tennis, etc.).</li><li>Actively <strong>promote and support league play, social events, exhibitions, and Club tournaments</strong>.</li><li>Represent The Beach Club in team tennis, exhibitions, and other play as needed.</li><li>Assist with <strong>pro shop operations</strong> as requested by the Tennis Director, including opening/closing, member service, sales, and basic merchandising.</li><li>Perform <strong>professional racquet stringing and minor racquet services</strong>.</li><li>Support <strong>daily court maintenance standards</strong> (e.g., grooming, lines, nets) to ensure a consistently top-quality playing surface.</li><li>Maintain a <strong>professional, positive, and engaging presence</strong> on and off the court, fostering strong relationships with members and guests.</li><li>Help execute special events and collaborate with other departments to enhance the overall Club experience.</li></ul><p><strong>Education &amp; Experience</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>College degree required.</li><li>Minimum <strong>5 years of experience</strong> in a high-end private club, resort, or comparable tennis environment.</li><li>Proven track record of building a lesson book and cultivating strong member relationships.</li></ul><p><strong>Certifications &amp; Skills</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li><strong>USPTA Elite Professional and/or PTR Professional (or equivalent)</strong> required or in active progress.</li><li>Certified / trained in <strong>First Aid and CPR</strong> (or willing to obtain upon hire).</li><li>Demonstrated <strong>stringing proficiency</strong> on modern racquet frames.</li><li>Strong on-court communication, energy, and professionalism.</li><li>Experience and comfort with <strong>basic clay court maintenance</strong> and tennis facility standards.</li></ul><p><strong>Physical Demands / Work Environment</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Ability to work outdoors for extended periods in <strong>hot and humid conditions</strong>.</li><li>Continuous standing, walking, feeding balls, and moving on court during regular work hours.</li><li>Frequent use of light machinery and tools related to court and shop operations.</li><li>Frequent lifting, carrying, and moving of tennis equipment and supplies.</li></ul><p><strong>What We Offer</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>An opportunity to work at a <strong>prestigious, oceanfront private club</strong> with a highly engaged membership.</li><li>A professional, team-oriented environment with <strong>supportive leadership</strong>.</li><li><strong>Competitive compensation</strong>, commensurate with experience.</li><li>The opportunity to grow your <strong>teaching book, event experience, and leadership skills</strong> within a respected club operation.</li></ul><p>We thank all applicants for their interest; only those selected for an interview will be contacted.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p></div>\n",
