This substantial undertaking not only mirrors the school's continuous growth, but also demonstrates a sustained commitment to offering an optimal learning environment for all members of the school community.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Southpointe is seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated and collaborative teacher who shares a commitment to inquiry- and concept-based teaching and learning. <em><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Reporting to the Middle School Principal, the MYP Physical and Health Education Teacher position will commence August 27, 2026 for the 2026-2027 school year.</span></em></span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">Key Duties and Responsibilities</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">*These may include, but are not limited to...</span><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Develop an inquiry-based and dynamic physical and health education program;</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Foster an appreciation of both individual and team sport and an enjoyment of learning and playing sport;</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Demonstrate strong pedagogical practice in physical and health education instruction;</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Coach school athletic teams in multiple sports throughout the year;</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Work collaboratively with colleagues to support the development of an inquiry-based, interdisciplinary approach to teaching and learning;</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Foster caring, committed and supportive relationships with students and families;</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Create an environment that promotes an atmosphere of mutual respect and care;</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Use engaging technology to enhance instruction and learning;</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Participate in professional development training related to the IB programmes;</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Design, prepare and deliver learning experiences that facilitate authentic engagement;</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Identify and select instructional resources and methods to meet diverse student needs;</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Design and implement a range of authentic learning assessments that provide timely feedback to students and clear direction to parents;</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Maintain accurate, ongoing and complete records of student progress for the purposes of teaching, learning and reporting;</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Prepare reports, conduct parent-teacher conferences and communicate with parents on an ongoing basis in order to foster an open and supportive relationship;</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Model a strong work ethic, high standard of commitment, and maintain excellent professionalism in all interactions with colleagues, students and parents;</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Participate in community building events, both in and out of school hours</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Southpointe Academy Physical and Health Education Teachers are expected to coach extensively throughout the three sporting seasons to support the school’s Athletics offerings.
