    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong>About Ocean Steel</strong></p><p>Incorporated in 1955, Ocean Steel services several markets, including Atlantic Canada, the Eastern United States, Bermuda and the Caribbean. Although they specialize in fabricating and erecting structural steel for buildings and bridges, they also manufacture and install platework, such as breechings, stacks, ducts, penstocks, process &amp; storage tanks and custom process-equipment. Ocean&nbsp;Steel’s two New Brunswick plants include the original location in Saint John, as well as the York Steel Plant in Fredericton, which was acquired by Ocean Steel in 1995.&nbsp;<strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Use overhead crane to position and rotate steel,</li><li>Prep steel beams for paint,&nbsp;</li><li>Assist with taping areas.</li><li>Spray paint steel beams using airless sprayer,</li><li>Working outside and assisting in Shipping Yard.</li><li>Finding and marking steel beams to be loaded for shipping.</li><li>Using overhead crane to help load steel onto trucks.</li><li>Snow Removal</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul><li>Completion of high school,</li><li>Experience using airless sprayer,</li><li>Experience painting steel,</li><li>Ability to work rotating shifts as this position does include night shift. &nbsp;</li></ul><p>* Night shift does not align with bus schedule so transportation will be required *</p><p>As a member of the OSCO Construction Group, Ocean Steel &amp; Construction Ltd. offers a comprehensive compensation package beginning after completing forty-five (45) working shifts, including seniority with Shopmen’s Local Unit No.809, overtime hours worked paid at time &amp; a half; double time on weekends, health and dental coverage, life insurance and RRSP options.
