    "requisitionDescription": "<div><p>Heidelberg University is seeking an <strong>Adjunct Instructor of Horn</strong> to join our School of Music and Theater in providing instruction to undergraduate students in any of the following curricula: Bachelor of Arts in Music, or Bachelor of Music in Music Education. The Adjunct Instructor of Horn will report to the Chair of the School of Music and Theater.</p><p><strong><u>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</u></strong></p><p><strong>The Adjunct Instructor of Horn will:</strong></p><ul><li>Teach courses in Studio Horn, including both major and non-major lessons.</li><li>Utilize innovative and collaborative teaching methods in support of the School&#39;s mission and learning objectives.</li><li>Participate in School of Music and Theater recruiting events and audition days upon request.</li><li>Participate in instrumental jury assessment at the conclusion of each semester of instruction.</li></ul><p><strong><u>Desired Attributes and Qualifications</u></strong></p><p><strong>Education and Professional Experience:</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor of Music in Music Education with a horn emphasis or Bachelor of Music in Horn Performance</li><li>2 years experience teaching private lessons</li></ul><p><strong><em>Preferred Education and Experience:</em></strong></p><ul><li>Master of Music in Horn Performance</li></ul><p><strong>Necessary Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Ability to relate to a diverse cross-section of individuals.</li><li>Must demonstrate impactful diagnostic and prescriptive pedagogical skill.</li><li>Demonstrated strong commitment to student centered active learning and student engagement activities.</li><li>Commitment to and a demonstrated record of academic and artistic excellence.</li><li>Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication, and problem-solving skills.&nbsp;</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p></div>\n",
