From devices enhancing and improving cancer staging treatment to intelligent drug delivery systems and point of care diagnostic testing, we’re leading the way.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>ROLE</strong></p><p>The Production Engineer will work primarily within the Production Engineering team but will have key working relationships with the New Product Introduction (NPI), Production, Purchasing, QA/RA and R&amp;D departments.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>This role requires a driven and flexible individual that can muti-task, plan, schedule and coordinate various tasks, taking ownership of tight time scales.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>A Production Engineer will work closely with the QA team to process all customer change requests allocated to the Production Engineering department in a timely manner to support the smooth running of the business.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>This role will fully support the manufacturing facility to maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p><ul><li>PFMEA/Process Validation</li><li>Work Cell set up</li><li>Build pilot production units</li><li>Creation and maintenance of manufacturing work instructions</li><li>Creation of manufacturing work flow charts&nbsp;</li><li>Control of Gerber data and project specific software and firmware</li><li>Review jigs and fixtures within manufacturing for efficiency</li><li>MRP structuring and peer review of structures</li><li>Training of production staff</li><li>Generate new training records on Train Track</li><li>Willingness to travel to customer/supplier sites within the UK and internationally.</li><li>Adherence to all Company policies, management systems and standard operational procedures, including legal responsibilities in relation to Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality.</li><li>Provide Environmental commitment for site in order to maintain sustainability and progression to net zero.</li><li>Working positively to develop and foster good working relationships with colleagues and contracted personnel in order to maintain a culture of mutual respect and dignity.</li><li>Promote and display the G&amp;H values: Customer focus, Integrity, Action, Unity, Precision.</li></ul><p><strong>PERFORMANCE MEASURES</strong></p><ul><li>Completion of output against target</li><li>Appraisals.</li><li>Regular 1-1 meetings.</li></ul><p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS</strong></p><ul><li>Degree level in either mechanical or electronics engineering.</li></ul><p><strong>ABOUT YOU</strong></p><ul><li>Positive attitude to continuous improvement with proven experience</li><li>Flexible approach</li><li>Safety, quality and compliance competent.</li><li>Accountable and responsible.</li></ul><p><strong>SKILLS AND ABILITIES</strong></p><ul><li>Excellent communication skills across internal and external customers</li><li>Good organisation skills.</li><li>Diligent with an eye for detail.</li><li>Excellent time management skills to effectively handle conflicting priorities and ensure tight deadlines are met.</li><li>Experience of ERP system.</li><li>Competency with Microsoft Office products, particularly desirable in Microsoft Project and PowerPoint.</li><li>Process validation experience.</li><li>ISO 13485/MDR trained an advantage.</li><li>CAD and Design experience an advantage.</li><li>Programming in C or Python an advantage.</li></ul><p>Notes: This job description is not intended to be exhaustive in every respect, but rather to clearly define the fundamental purpose, responsibilities and dimensions for the role.
