As a multi-site organization, we are dedicated to influencing and advancing local, state, and regional healthcare environments.</p><p><br></p><p><strong><u>POSITION SUMMARY:</u></strong></p><p>Psychiatrist provides psychiatric-mental health care and treatment for children and youth patients of CHCRR to include psychiatric assessments, diagnosis, prescribing medication and monitoring of medication side effects and participation in the treatment process with children and their parent/guardian.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong><u>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</u></strong></p><p>Essential functions are those tasks, duties, and responsibilities that comprise the means of accomplishing the job&rsquo;s purpose and objectives. Essential functions are critical or fundamental to the performance of the job. They are the major functions for which the person in the job is held accountable. Following are the essential functions of the job.</p><ul><li>Obtains complete psychiatric evaluation to include patient histories, physical and behavioral health assessments, psychiatric evaluations, differentiates normal and abnormal symptomology, family system assessments.</li><li>Orders and interprets appropriate diagnostic and screening tests.</li><li>Formulates diagnosis of psychiatric disorders, appropriate plans of care, and evaluation of outcomes. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;</li><li>Prescribes psychopharmacological medications or non-pharmacological forms of treatment such as counseling, psychotherapy, education or complementary therapies.&nbsp;</li><li>When necessary and appropriate, utilizes physician consultation to assist with diagnosis and/or management.</li><li>Collaborates with the primary care providers and other health care professionals to integrate behavioral health within a comprehensive plan of care.</li><li>Refers patients to specialists or to follow-up with their primary care physician, as needed.</li><li>Provides timely, accurate and through documentation of patient behavior medical interventions, treatment &nbsp; planning and intervention.</li><li>Explains medication effects and side-effects to parent/guardian and child patients.</li><li>Performs crisis interventions as needed.</li><li>May serve on CHCRR Committee as deemed necessary.</li><li>Actively supports and participates in the development and expansion of new programs and initiatives.</li><li>Provide 36 hours of direct, billable services per week full-time FTE</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong><u>OTHER DUTIES:</u></strong></p><p>Other duties as assigned</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong><u>KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:</u></strong><u>&nbsp;</u></p><ul><li>Graduate of accredited School for Psychiatry program</li><li>Must be Board Eligible or certified in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and residency trained.</li><li>Dual certified in Adult and Pediatric Care is preferred.</li><li>Experience in the delivery of mental health treatment to children and adolescents.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong><u>BENEFITS</u>:</strong></p><p>Community Health seeks to offer our Providers a very robust benefits package:</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Market leading compensation &ndash; commensurate with experience.</li><li>Generous bonus opportunity.</li><li>Up to $10,000 in relocation expenses.</li><li>Medical, dental, and vision insurance.</li><li>Retirement plan &ndash; 403(b) with employer match.</li><li>Paid malpractice insurance.</li><li>Generous leave time: starting at 4 weeks plus holidays with an increase after 18 months.</li><li>Work-life balance with 4-day work weeks.</li><li>CME leave (1 week/year) and CME allowance ($6,000/year)</li><li>Opportunities to apply for school loan repayment, up to $20,000 a year. &nbsp;</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong><u>DISCOVER RUTLAND:</u></strong></p><p>Nestled in the heart of southern Vermont, Rutland offers a vibrant community surrounded by stunning natural beauty.
