This position offers the opportunity to contribute to a variety of complex and high-profile transportation projects while mentoring junior staff and collaborating across disciplines.</p>\n<p>As a Project Engineer, you will perform technical design work, manage project components, and serve as a key liaison between clients and internal teams. The ideal candidate is self-driven, has a strong background in roadway and transportation engineering, and is a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) with at least 8 years of related experience. </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Perform conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design for transportation and roadway projects.</li>\n <li>Develop and oversee geometric design, maintenance of traffic, drainage, and signing/pavement marking plans.</li>\n <li>Lead or support the preparation of construction documents, including plans, specifications, and cost estimates.</li>\n <li>Develop and review 3D roadway models and related digital design deliverables.</li>\n <li>Provide technical mentorship and support to junior engineers and design technicians.</li>\n <li>Ensure quality control and compliance with applicable design standards and client requirements.</li>\n <li>Collaborate with clients, subconsultants, and internal teams on project coordination and technical issues.</li>\n <li>Contribute to project scoping, scheduling, and proposal development as needed.</li>\n <li>Perform other duties as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE required).</li>\n <li>Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in the state of employment.</li>\n <li>Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in roadway or transportation design.</li>\n <li>Strong technical skills and proficiency with design software such as MicroStation, Geopak, and/or OpenRoads Designer.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of AASHTO and DOT roadway design standards.</li>\n <li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills.</li>\n <li>Ability to self-motivate and thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Physical Demands:</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
