    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p><strong>This role is expected to work Saturday through Wednesday from 9:00 AM Pacific to 6:00 pm Pacific</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>At Cotiviti, we are custodians of data for our clients. Using their technical experience in ETL processes, Data Engineers ensure operational functions are occurring as expected. This includes but is not limited to managing data implementations, data production, data quality, and data security.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Oversee ETL processes to ensure their success, with the primary responsibility of providing accurate and timely data across various products to support the company's revenue generation. </li>\n <li>Maintain data pipelines running on proprietary big data processing platform and providing support to make sure data delivery SLAs are met. </li>\n <li>Maintain data engineering processes using a variety of tools including T-SQL, Spark and Scala, and shell scripting. Generally focused on data ingestion for healthcare data management, data validation, statistical report generation, and program validation.</li>\n <li>Develop, support, and improve scalable and efficient data ingestion processes and techniques aimed at enhancing process efficiencies and optimizing query performance for our proprietary data applications and systems.</li>\n <li>Implement and perform data validation and quality checks to maintain high data integrity.</li>\n <li>Perform troubleshooting, data analysis, data mining, investigations and identifying root cause of issues using several cutting-edge data analysis tools in a fast-paced environment.</li>\n <li>Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver high-quality data solutions.</li>\n <li>Work with Technical Operations to troubleshoot complex database issues related to the entire environment including OS, storage, and servers. </li>\n <li>Provide off hours support to resolve production issues when necessary</li>\n <li>Develop data transformation specifications to convert source data to be loaded into target data warehouse tables using SQL and other Data Integration/ETL tools. </li>\n <li>Support the implementation of data governance policies and security measures to protect sensitive information.</li>\n <li>Create and maintain dashboards as needed.</li>\n <li>Participate in meetings with clients and/or stakeholders.</li>\n <li>Complete individual productivity tracking</li>\n <li>Complete task assignments using department ticketing system within assigned deadline.</li>\n <li>Achieve organizational and individual goals as identified in performance reviews and goal setting exercises.</li>\n <li> Complete all special projects and other duties as assigned.</li>\n <li>Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>This job description is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed and is not to be construed as an exhaustive list of responsibilities, duties and skills required. This job description does not constitute an employment agreement and is subject to change as the needs of Cotiviti and requirements of the job change.  </p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent work experience.</li>\n <li>2+ years of working knowledge of RDBMS (Oracle, MS SQL, Vertica, etc.) and experience using SQL, PL/SQL or other data integration/ETL tools. </li>\n <li>2+ years of experience in data engineering, data analysis, or a related field with a strong track record of building and managing data pipelines. </li>\n <li>2-4 years’ experience with data aggregation, standardization, linking, quality check mechanisms, and reporting.</li>\n <li>2-4 years’ experience with big data technologies like Hadoop and Spark.</li>\n <li>Proficient and experienced in analyzing, designing, and developing solutions and strategies involving relational databases (e.g., Oracle, Vertica, SQL Server), ETL tools (e.g., SSIS, ODI, Informatica), and data warehousing concepts.</li>\n <li>Solid understanding of Linux environments; strong knowledge of shell scripting and file systems.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of US healthcare data, preferably in data operations role, is a plus.</li>\n <li>Ability to analyze data with a high level of detailed accuracy, identify root causes of issues, and demonstrate problem-solving skills to troubleshoot data-related issues.</li>\n <li>Experience in coding principles and the ability to follow best practices for developing and deploying code for data manipulation and automation. </li>\n <li>Experience in at least one programming language such as Python, Java, Scala or Powershell.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of data governance principles, data quality, and data lifecycle management a plus.</li>\n <li>Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook. </li>\n <li>Flexible work schedule. </li>\n <li>Experience with project management tools like JIRA.</li>\n <li>Strong analytical skills</li>\n <li>Quick Learner, energetic and flexible</li>\n <li>Excellent verbal, listening and written communication skills.</li>\n <li>Ability to multitask and prioritize projects to meet scheduled deadlines and tight turnaround times.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Mental Requirements:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.</li>\n <li>Advanced analysis, problem-resolution, judgment, and decision-making capabilities.</li>\n <li>Ability to prioritize and execute complex tasks in a high-pressure environment independently.</li>\n <li>Strong results orientation, initiative, attention to detail, and customer service focus.</li>\n <li>Expert time management skills, balancing daily operations, projects, and mentorship.</li>\n <li>Ability to independently prioritize, re-prioritize, and manage multiple complex tasks.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.</li>\n <li>Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.</li>\n <li>Must be able to provide high-speed internet access / connectivity and office setup and maintenance.</li>\n <li>Must be able to provide a dedicated, secure work area.</li>\n <li>No adverse environmental conditions expected.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Base compensation ranges from $80,000 to $112,000 per year.
