We do this by: assisting remote and rural communities with access to elementary and primary <a href=\"https://www.ktf.ngo/program-education\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">education</span></a><a href=\"http://ktf.ngo/progtype/education/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">;</a> improving access to quality and accessible <a href=\"https://www.ktf.ngo/program-health\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">healthcare</span></a><a href=\"https://www.ktf.ngo/health\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">;</a> improving <a href=\"https://www.ktf.ngo/program-equality\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">equality</span> </a>and access to sustainable income-generation opportunities, especially for women; and by fostering the next generation of <a href=\"https://www.ktf.ngo/program-leadership\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">leaders</span></a>.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>KTF is a member of the Australian Council for International Development and is accredited with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade’s Australian Not-for-Profit Cooperation Program.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">ABOUT THE ROLE:</span></span></p>\n<p>KTF Registered Study Centres are currently running enrolments of over 4500 students to take their high school curriculum and exams in a ‘second-chance’ delivery across rural and remote locations of PNG. These centres are running through dedicated academic teams to ensure the best possible practice and resourcing is made accessible to those who need it most.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>The Project Co-ordinator role will support the team to coordinate the rollout of the Flexible Open Distance Education (FODE) program in rural and remote PNG. FODE is essentially a second chance high school education for those who have not had the opportunity to complete their schooling and wish to progress onto education and health pathways. Implementing the FODE program requires significant administration and coordination efforts from KTF Australia and KTF PNG.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">RESPONSIBILITIES:</span></span></p>\n<p>Key tasks include:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>coordination of data collection, entry and analysis;</li>\n<li>coordination of project resources such as printing, ordering supplies, food and technology;</li>\n<li>coordination of logistics for deliveries of resources and supplies;</li>\n<li>coordination of international and domestic freight and shipping logistics;</li>\n<li>booking and coordinating travel and transport within PNG;</li>\n<li>coordinating food and boarding activities for staff and students at FODE centres;</li>\n<li>coordinating security and other logistics;</li>\n<li>assisting with regular communications with project partners and in-field staff;</li>\n<li>assisting with staff movements, logistics and rosters;</li>\n<li>assisting with the implementation and logistics of the academic calendar;</li>\n<li>contributing to the implementation of stronger and more streamlined administrative processes;</li>\n<li>assisting with human resource activities across projects;</li>\n<li>assisting with project monitoring and evaluation activities including quarterly reporting;</li>\n<li>supporting the Head of FODE, program managers and centre staff;</li>\n<li>coordination of KTF’s project management processes;</li>\n<li>liaising with in-country logistics and project coordinators to ensure the seamless delivery of activities in PNG;</li>\n<li>Supporting across other KTF projects as and when required.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">SKILLS &amp; ATTRIBUTES:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>excellent organisational skills;</li>\n<li>excellent communication skills – verbal and written;</li>\n<li>strong capability with the use of Google Suite &amp; Microsoft office, including intermediate document and spreadsheet skills;</li>\n<li>general level of technology skills (gmail, slack, Monday etc)</li>\n<li>the ability to coordinate several tasks at a time, all with competing priorities;</li>\n<li>the ability to work in a fast paced, productive working environment;</li>\n<li>a degree (or 2 years’ experience) in a relevant field (international development, education, project management, logistics, administration or similar);</li>\n<li>a can-do attitude with fantastic problem-solving skills.</li>\n<li>the ability to work with minimal instruction (particularly for remote candidates)</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">OTHER REQUIREMENTS</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Periodic travel to PNG, including remote field locations, for staff program delivery support, occasionally with travel over the weekends.</li>\n<li>The right to work in Australia.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Closing date:  <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">26th June 2026</span> or earlier if filled.  Applications will be reviewed as they are received.</p>\n<p>This position offers a hybrid work environment and is open to applications from Sydney, Brisbane, and Melbourne. </p>\n<p>For queries only, email <span><a href=\"mailto:[email protected]\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">[email protected]</a></span>, with the position title as subject. <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Please note that applications received via this email will not be considered. </span></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>KTF is a child safe organisation committed to the protection of people we serve.
