We encourage and reward curiosity, ingenuity, and technical excellence.</p><p>As a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test, you will be responsible for:</p><ul><li class=\"lst\">Building, testing, and delivering our core backend services and API's that provision and manage virtual machines in the cloud.</li><li class=\"lst\">Ensuring the quality of service for hundreds of thousands of Linodes running across our global datacenter network.</li><li class=\"lst\">Understanding the overall software stack that makes us tick.</li><li class=\"lst\">Working in an environment that fosters innovative solutions, rapid development cycles, and open communication.</li></ul><p><b>Do what you love</b></p><p>To be successful in this role you will:</p><ul><li class=\"lst\">Have 5 years of relevant experience and a Bachelors degree in Computer Science or its equivalent.</li><li class=\"lst\">Demonstrate professional experience with Python, Perl, or other interpreted languages</li><li class=\"lst\">Be proficient with test frameworks such a pytest, minitest, nosetest or similiar</li><li class=\"lst\">Be proficient with the Linux operating system, Bash, networking, and shell scripting</li><li class=\"lst\">Have working knowledge of cloud computing infrastructure</li><li class=\"lst\">Possess familiarity with RESTful APIs and developing unit, integration, and end-to-end tests for appropriate coverage</li><li class=\"lst\">Have basic working knowledge of relational databases, like MySQL, PostgreSQL.</li><li class=\"lst\">Have working knowledge of continuous integration tools such as Jenkins, Github Actions or GitLab.</li></ul><p><b>Work in a way that works for you</b></p><p>FlexBase, Akamai's Global Flexible Working Program, is based on the principles that are helping us create the best workplace in the world.
