    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p>The University of Maine’s College of Earth, Life, and Health seeks an applicant with enthusiasm and a background in science or engineering who is professional, adaptable, and a good problem-solver to support activities related to campus residential life, programmed learning activities, and research operations at the Darling Marine Center. The person in this position will serve as a primary contact for UMaine students and visitors in campus residences, lead tours for campus visitors, provide safety briefings to campus students and visitors, and collaboratively work with DMC staff members to help foster positive and productive experiences for people utilizing the facility. An ideal candidate will have experience with the operation of technical scientific instrumentation and laboratory seawater pumps, as well as working knowledge of coastal processes, marine ecology, and field measurement and sampling methods.
