From environmental planning, permitting, remediation, and site characterization to chemical data management and hydrogeology, Kleinfelder offers a variety of services designed to provide technically appropriate and cost-effective solutions.  </p> \n<strong>Step into Your New Role</strong> \n<p><strong>Kleinfelder is looking to add an entry level Environmental Engineer to the San Jose team within the Northern California & Pacific Area!</strong>  This position involves the collection of environmental data from sites in various stages of the assessment and remediation process.  The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in environmental engineering or geology.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Under direct supervision, this person will participate in and be responsible for completing defined field and office tasks including:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Groundwater sampling</li>\n <li>Collection of soil samples</li>\n <li>Installation of monitoring wells</li>\n <li>Phase I Environmental Site Assessments</li>\n <li>Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasures (SPCC) Plans and Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP) preparations and inspections</li>\n <li>Air quality permitting and engineering</li>\n <li>Identification and evaluation of sensitive receptors</li>\n <li>Analyzing and interpreting analytical data</li>\n <li>Authoring technical reports</li>\n <li>Progressing sites towards regulatory closure</li>\n <li>Learning and honing the fundamentals of environmental data collection</li>\n <li>Analytical data validation and Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC)</li>\n <li>Observation and documentation in support of scientific investigations and engineered solutions. </li>\n</ul>\n<p>This role requires working within the context of local, state, federal regulations, client requirements, and as a part of a project team under the direction of a project manager with other staff professionals. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Minimum requirements:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>0-3 years of environmental engineering experience.</li>\n <li>B.S. degree in geology, engineering, or the environmental sciences.  </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Preferred qualifications:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Environmental field sampling experience</li>\n <li>OSHA 40HR HAZWOPER training</li>\n <li> E.I.T.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Following an offer, candidates will be required to satisfactorily complete employment reference checks, verification of professional licensure and/or educational credentials, a motor vehicle report (MVR), and a comprehensive background check.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Move Forward with Kleinfelder:</strong> Kleinfelder and its’ subsidiaries and affiliates, has been connecting great people to the best work since 1961.
