This role will review projects assigned to them comparing customer specifications to other design data, noting any inconsistencies or special requirements. The Mechanical Designer will be expected to utilize any and all operating programs to function effectively.</p><p><br></p><table border=\"0\" cellspacing=\"0\" cellpadding=\"0\" width=\"100%\"><tbody><tr><td colspan=\"2\" style=\"width: 100%;\"><p><strong>PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p></td></tr><tr><td colspan=\"2\" style=\"width: 100%;\"><p><span style=\"font-size:15px;\">Complete transformer mechanical design including internal and external layout of components and accessories based on documentation provided in project design folder, standard practices, and/or from technical advisors.&nbsp;</span></p><div style='margin:0in;font-size:15px;font-family:\"Arial\",sans-serif;' data-pasted=\"true\"><ul style=\"margin-bottom:0in;list-style-type: disc;margin-left: -0.25in;\"><li style=\"margin:0in;font-size:15px;font-family: initial;\"><span style=\"font-size:15px;\">Calculate dimensions, allowances, and specifications per standard procedures or general design knowledge of shop capabilities when standard procedures do not exist. Verify and update programs.</span></li><li style=\"margin:0in;font-size:15px;font-family: initial;\"><span style=\"font-size:15px;\">Provide technical support and training of others.</span></li><li style=\"margin:0in;font-size:15px;font-family: initial;\"><span style=\"font-size:15px;\">Assist the supervisor in the planning and scheduling of the design and detailing processes.&nbsp;</span></li><li style=\"margin:0in;font-size:15px;font-family: initial;\"><span style=\"font-size:15px;\">Responsible for directing or executing corrective action when shop problems are encountered. Consult with shop and QA personnel on interferences or interpretation of engineering information.</span></li><li style=\"margin:0in;font-size:15px;font-family: initial;\"><span style=\"font-size:15px;\">Assist on development projects as requested by supervisor.
