    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Job Summary</span></p>\n<p>The Development Director develops and fosters strong relationships with individual donors, businesses, and friends of Missoula Children's Theatre for securing donations.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Essential Functions of the Position</span>:</p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Develop, manage, and direct annual fund including operating budget, mailings, and associated events.</span></li>\n<li>Spearhead the $6M capital campaign, including identifying new prospects, soliciting donors for multi-year major gifts, sending pledge reminders to existing and new donors, and stewarding donors once pledges are committed.</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Grow MCT’s major gifts program with the development team and input from the executive director.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Grow the planned giving program with the development team and input from the executive director.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Manage donor database (Patron Manager) with others in the development department.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Oversee the Assistant Director of Development, providing guidance and strategy related to local business show sponsorships and advertising.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Maintain accurate, timely reporting for MCT's federal roof replacement grant in partnership with executive director, finance director, and local representatives</span><br></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Work with finance director to set-up and management of endowments.</span></li>\n<li>Ensure appropriate thank-you letters, and miscellaneous donation correspondence is sent.</li>\n<li>Plan, manage, and host MCT Premiere Party programs and receptions in partnership with the Assistant Director of Development.</li>\n<li>Submit monthly board reports; attend board meetings as requested. </li>\n<li>Organize all permanent recognition areas, e.g., bricks, seats, wall of honor, naming opportunities.</li>\n<li>Establish and direct stewardship programs for donors.</li>\n<li>Provide leadership for non-grant funded national and local fundraising activities, coordinate relationships of the theatre with prospective donors, and strengthen both internal and external relationships.</li>\n<li>Coordinate development activities with marketing and executive staff.</li>\n<li>Direct program development and other duties as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Non-Essential Functions of the Position</span>:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Participate in community organizations, boards, and outreach efforts.</li>\n<li>Manage and coordinate development volunteers in partnership with the Assistant Director of Development.</li>\n<li>Attend continuing education seminars/classes as needed.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Minimum Qualifications:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or nonprofit leadership.</li>\n<li>Minimum of six years’ experience in fundraising, public relations, business development, prospecting, stewardship, and donor relations management.</li>\n<li>Persuasive writing, strong verbal communications, excellent customer service and the ability to interact at the executive level.</li>\n<li>Strong interpersonal, supervision, administration, and management skills.</li>\n<li>Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.</li>\n<li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.</li>\n<li>Familiarity with donor tracking systems.</li>\n<li>Sound judgment, professionalism, and a positive attitude.</li>\n<li>Resourcefulness, creativity, and strong problem-solving skills.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Desired Qualifications</span>:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Master's degree in business, marketing or nonprofit leadership or equivalent experience.</li>\n<li>Proven track record of raising funds from diverse sources</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Physical Requirements</span>:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Perform approximately 80% of work on the MCT campus and 20% off campus for donor meetings, community engagement, and other relationship-building activities.</li>\n<li>The position will require you to sit at a desk for periods of time that could exceed 4 hours with intermittent breaks as needed.</li>\n<li>This position could be required to stand for periods of time that could exceed 3 hours with intermittent breaks as needed.</li>\n<li>May be requested to lift up to 25 pounds overhead while using a step ladder.</li>\n<li>May be requested to drive a company vehicle.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Equipment Used</span>:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Computer, telephone, copier, printer, fax machine, paper cutter, step ladder.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Work Environment</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>This position operates in a dynamic work environment with shifting priorities and time-sensitive responsibilities.</li>\n<li>This position may require managing multiple tasks simultaneously and responding to changing needs or unexpected issues.</li>\n<li>Work periods may include evenings, weekends, extended hours, and situations that can be stressful at times, particularly during peak operational periods.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Benefits Package</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Health, Dental, Vision &amp;
