Arnold&#39;s magnets, metals, and systems are used in high-efficiency electric motors and generators, sensors, batteries, and more.</p><p><strong><u>Job Purpose</u></strong></p><ul><li>Selects specific tools and equipment to finish products according to design specifications&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong><u>Duties &amp; Responsibilities<br></u></strong></p><ul><li>Set up and operate any of the types of finish grinding machines.&nbsp;</li><li>Select speeds and feeds, according to material, to achieve optimum results.&nbsp;</li><li>Select grinding wheels within a limited range for operation.&nbsp;</li><li>Dress wheels.&nbsp;</li><li>Check dimensions and tolerances.</li><li>Make adjustments to maintain standards.</li><li>Detect faulty operation or defective materials, correct and report to the supervisor.</li><li>Assists in the dismantle of machines and removes parts for repair, using hand tools, chain falls, jacks, cranes, or hoists.</li><li>Keep machines clean and make/assist in making machine repairs.</li><li>Maintain job order and production records.</li><li>Other duties as assigned&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong><u>Qualifications</u></strong><strong><br></strong></p><ul><li>High School degree, diploma or a GED equivalent qualification from a certified college.</li><li>Knowledge of grinding machines and tools.&nbsp;</li><li>6-12 months experience grinding is preferred</li><li>Basic mathematical skills in arithmetic, algebra, and their applications.&nbsp;</li><li>Familiar with drawings and precision measuring instruments.&nbsp;</li><li>Active listener who can give full attention to trainer, take time to understand the points being made, ask questions as appropriate.</li><li>Capacity for learning; understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making.</li><li>Ability to recognize when there is an issue with machinery and identify that something is wrong or is likely to go wrong.&nbsp;</li><li>Good written and verbal communication skills.</li><li>Must be able to understanding information in a work-related document.&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong><u>Working Conditions &amp; Physical Requirements</u></strong><strong><br></strong></p><ul><li>May be exposed to industrial oils, toner, coolants, solvents, lubricants, adhesive and other chemicals.
