Maintenance Technician (2nd Shift)

Position Summary Crescent Maintenance Technician is responsible to perform maintenance duties committed to meeting all our customer’s need, and people’s needs. Ensuring he operators as outlined in the Crescent Way- 3 P’s: Purpose Process People While building on our culture of: Doing it Right Doing it Safe Doing it Well Essential Duties and Responsibilities Safety Read and understand the Crescent Safety Playbook – Doing it Safe Ensure a safe work environment is maintained Engage in the Safety Observation process Complete maintenance tasks on time and correctly as assigned Ensure all equipment is operating safely Ensure all maintenance work is being completed in a safe manner Ensure a clean and organized work space, and hold themselves to a high standard and lives the “leave work areas better than found them” Continually seek out and remove forms of risk created by our equipment and equipment setup People Provide technical expertise and troubleshooting capabilities Help in training for all other personnel at Crescent (FLO’s, Line Leaders, Machine Operators) who will interact and or operate with equipment Treat People with Respect and communicate in a professional manner Able to except direction and delegation from leaders Encourage People to take ownership and build relationships with other Key Crescent People Productivity Look for new uses of technology and equipment, providing Crescent and customers with flexibility and improved productivity Participate in setups and ensure they are done correctly, safely and on time Complete all PM’s on time Look for and create Continuous improvement ideas Communicate issues and opportunities to the Maintenance Leader Quality Ensure all equipment is operating in a manner that produces quality product Communicate any suspected quality issues to the appropriate person Participate in root cause analysis on quality issues and be part of corrective action development Provide consultation along with Quality leader and Ops leadership on all new builds to ensure “quality at the source” design Customer Value Ensure the completion of all required PM’s – Crescent and Customer owned equipment Provide real time support to customer trials, samples and visits Financial Responsible to specify, source and select cost effective equipment, spare parts and services Good decision making on repair / replacing parts and equipment Maintain a personal level of productivity Cultural Competencies Do It Right Doing what is right for our Customers, doing what is right for our Company and doing what is right for our People. Work Environment / Physical Demands Fast paced environment, requiring one to adapt to continuous changes in schedules, volumes, staffing and shift requirements Systems Usage Kronos Microsoft Office Suite Other Equipment software applications Performance Metrics and Trends Safety People Productivity Quality Customer Value Financial Qualifications Education & Experience: 1+ years’ experience in equipment maintenance Preferred Qualifications: Experienced in packaging systems maintenance.
