The successful candidate is an enthusiastic, hardworking individual who would like to work within our banking and debt financing practice. Our banking and debt financing group is widely recognized as a top performing practice group in Vancouver with an attractive variety of work and clients. The successful candidate will work as part of a team of paralegals, with adequate coverage available during vacation perio<span>ds. </span>The regular working hours for this role are Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 4:30pm.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Standard Responsibilities</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Review governing facility letters</li>\n<li>Conduct and review all necessary due diligence searches</li>\n<li>Draft correspondence to Borrower’s solicitors and all other necessary correspondence</li>\n<li>Draft and finalize all loan and security documentation required in connection with the facility letter</li>\n<li>Attend to registrations and other security filings</li>\n<li>Review executed documents and communicates deficiencies</li>\n<li>Review post-registration searches</li>\n<li>Draft payout letters</li>\n<li>Finalize and attend to payouts and all closing matters</li>\n<li>Draft and finalize reporting letters and opinions and all ancillary correspondence</li>\n<li>Follow up for outstanding deficiencies and other matters</li>\n<li>Attend to all final reporting</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Qualifications</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Paralegal certificate or a diploma from a recognized institution</li>\n<li>Minimum of five years' experience as a banking and lending paralegal at a downtown law firm</li>\n<li>Demonstrated ability to independently manage a high volume of transactions</li>\n<li>Outstanding interpersonal skills, strong oral and written communication skills</li>\n<li>Excellent organization and time management skills</li>\n<li>Ability to multi-task and deliver high quality work under tight deadlines</li>\n<li>Excellent computer and research skills</li>\n<li>Good analytical and problem-solving skills</li>\n<li>Ability to work independently while being part of a team</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The typical salary range is<span style=\"font-weight: bold\"> $80,000 - $130,000</span> annually. Intermediate candidates can expect to be placed within the $80,000 - $100,000 range.
