    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Tier One Technologies has an immediate need for a Mainframe File Transfer Systems Engineer to support a Payroll application for our US Government client.</li>\n <li>This is going to be a 100% remote position.</li>\n <li>SELECTED CANDIDATES WITHOUT REQUIRED CLEARANCE WILL BE SUBJECT TO A FEDERAL GOVERNMENT BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION TO RECEIVE IT.</li>\n <li>Must be a US Citizen.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Responsible for design, implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of mainframe systems.</li>\n <li>Transfer protocols of FTP, SFTP, and Direct connect file transfers.</li>\n <li>Prepare system programming specifications, including programming instructions, inputs/outputs, structures, and other documentation to define functional and technical requirements.</li>\n <li>Analyze functional and technical requirements of proposed or existing IT systems to identify necessary development or modification paths to meet mission objectives.</li>\n <li>Participate in system requirements reviews, collaborating with customers, functional representatives, and technical personnel to clarify and refine requirements.</li>\n <li>Perform all functional duties independently on high-visibility or mission-critical aspects of various programs.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>A degree from an accredited College/University in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline is preferred.</li>\n <li>5+ years of experience with IBM z/OS, COBOL batch processing, online transaction processing and utilizing Sort utility programs.</li>\n <li>Expertise in utilizing FTP, SFTP, and Direct connect file transfers.</li>\n <li>Prior experience working with telecommunications in a mainframe environment.</li>\n <li>Familiarity with Payroll processing.</li>\n <li>Familiarity with CA-View (SAR) for reviewing completed mainframe jobs, REXX is a plus.</li>\n <li>Familiarity with AGILE methodology is a plus. </li>\n <li>Excellent communications skills.</li>\n <li>Ability to obtain a Position of Public Trust Clearance.</li>\n <li>Must be a US Citizen.</li>\n <li>Must not have traveled outside the US for a combined total of 6 months or more in the last 5 years.</li>\n <li>Must have resided in the US for the last 5 years.</li>\n</ul>",
