We offer an array of flexible solutions that are grounded in evidence-based practices and focused on achieving positive outcomes for our students and school partners.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>As a School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist at Light Street Special Education Solutions, a division of LEARN Academy, you play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of comprehensive special education services to children with communication needs. Working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, you implement evidence-based interventions that promote students' communication skills and success in their educational environment.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Your responsibilities span across various school settings, interacting with teachers, administrators, parents, and other therapy professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student care. You evaluate students' communication needs, develop and implement treatment plans, and monitor progress towards individualized education program (IEP) goals.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>As part of Light Street Special Education Solutions, you contribute to the company's mission of improving the quality and efficiency of special education services. Your work directly supports positive outcomes for students and strengthens partnerships with schools, aligning with the organization's commitment to evidence-based practices and flexible solutions in special education.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Essential Job Responsibilities</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess students' communication abilities in areas such as articulation, fluency, voice, and expressive and receptive language.</li>\n <li>Develop and implement speech and language therapy intervention plans that align with students' IEP goals and educational needs.</li>\n <li>Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate speech and language strategies into the educational curriculum and provide consultative services.</li>\n <li>Contribute to the IEP process by providing insights on student progress and recommending appropriate interventions.</li>\n <li>Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student assessments, interventions, and progress.</li>\n <li>Participate in team meetings and professional development activities to stay current with best practices in school-based speech and language therapy.</li>\n <li>Provide expertise in assistive technology and communication strategies to support student access to the curriculum.</li>\n <li>Collaborate with the special education team to ensure occupational speech and language therapy services align with the least restrictive environment (LRE) principle.</li>\n <li>Mentor and/or supervise assistants or students in the speech and language therapy community.</li>\n <li>Provide trainings to instructional and related service staff.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>Other Duties: Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities required of the employee for this job.</u></strong> Duties, responsibilities and activities may change at any time with or without notice due to the needs of the organization.  </p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Master’s degree in speech-language pathology from an accredited program</li>\n <li>Pass the Praxis Examination in Speech-Language Pathology </li>\n <li>Maintain license per ASHA requirements</li>\n <li>Current CA Licensure and COC or CTC (or willing to obtain)</li>\n <li>Current negative TB skin test or risk assessment </li>\n</ul>\n<p>Light Street Special Education Solutions/LEARN Academy offers a competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits plan, 401(k), paid holidays and personal time off.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Light Street Special Education Solutions/LEARN Academy is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
