Our top priority in recruitment and development of our next generation is to ensure we align ourselves with truly exceptional people who share these values.</p>\n<h2>What Will You Do?</h2>\n<p>As an Field Property Claims Adjuster, you will investigate, evaluate, negotiate and resolve predominately property claims in a fair, prompt and equitable manner. You are a source of knowledge and comfort during difficult times. When faced with the destructive aftermath of a natural disaster, you help clients through the claims process. You also support them as they rebuild their businesses and resume their lives. Federated provides a defined training program to teach you the fundamentals of commercial claims and prepare you to serve clients.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This is a home-based position with travel by car and/or plane frequently, including last-minute overnight travel.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Due to the travel involved, this employee must be living, or planning to relocate, within 1 hour of a major airport.</strong></p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Evaluates claims, determines the validity of coverage, conducts necessary investigation, and estimates damage.</li>\n <li>Research, evaluate and explain policy coverage to clients and third parties.</li>\n <li>Creates proper settlement documentation. Determines and authorizes settlement payments based on the results of the investigation and the determination of coverage/liability.</li>\n <li>Scope the value of damaged items.</li>\n <li>Negotiate settlements with contractors, clients and third parties.</li>\n <li>Conducts field investigations. Makes recommendations for the resolution of claims exceeding authority limits.</li>\n <li>Retains the services of and collaborates with outside experts such as engineers, valuation vendors, etc. when deemed necessary to secure all relevant facts for proper evaluation of claims.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Minimum Qualifications</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Current pursuing, or have obtained a four-year degree</li>\n <li>Demonstrate the ability to proficiently and effectively manage work with minimal work direction</li>\n <li>Strong analytical, computer and time management skills</li>\n <li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills</li>\n <li>Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Physical Demand / Work Environment</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Travel by car and/or plane frequently, including overnight and frequent multi-night travel</li>\n <li>Occasionally adjust work schedule and/or work extra hours including evenings and weekends.</li>\n <li>Ascend/descend a ladder</li>\n <li>Lift, push and pull items weighing 60 pounds or more</li>\n <li>Must have physical mobility, vision, and hearing necessary to traverse and evaluate claims damage</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Salary Range</strong>: $70,200 - $85,800</p>\n<p>Pay may vary depending on job-related factors and individual experience, skills, knowledge, etc. More information can be discussed with a with a member of the Recruiting team.</p>\n<h2>What We Offer</h2>\n<p>We offer a wide variety of ways to support you as a whole, both professionally and personally.
