We are currently seeking an EHS Specialist to join our Operations Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) team. This critical role ensures that environmental safety and industrial health programs are consistently implemented and maintained at the assigned site, promoting regulatory compliance and a safe, responsible work environment aligned with MAPEI’s environmental, safety, and health policies and procedures.&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong><u>Key Responsibilities</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Assist with audits, inspections, and timely submission of regulatory reports.</li>\n <li>Respond to and support site emergencies.</li>\n <li>Conduct incident investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.</li>\n <li>Deliver EHS training (classroom and online) to support safety and compliance.</li>\n <li>Enforce safety rules, work procedures, and regulatory requirements.</li>\n <li>Report EHS issues and improvement opportunities to the EHS Manager.</li>\n <li>Support communication with environmental and safety regulatory agencies.</li>\n <li>Support EMS and HSMS implementation, maintenance, and internal audits.</li>\n <li>Contribute to continuous improvement using the Plan-Do-Check-Act cycle.</li>\n <li>Complete tasks related to environmental permits and programs.</li>\n <li>Support waste management and pollution reduction efforts.</li>\n <li>Tour work areas to identify and correct unsafe behaviors/conditions.</li>\n <li>Conduct safety drills and support emergency response activities.</li>\n <li>Lead or assist with risk assessments and Management of Change (MOC) reviews.</li>\n <li>Support industrial hygiene monitoring (hearing/respiratory protection).</li>\n <li>Participate in safety reviews and industrial trial assessments.</li>\n <li>Perform other EHS duties as assigned.</li>\n <li>Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.</li>\n <li>Perform other duties as required.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>What's in it for you&nbsp;</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Salary starting at $75,000 per year based on experience.</li>\n <li>Biannual \"Rewards for Results\" bonuses, awarded on discretion based on plant performance.</li>\n <li>FREE MEDICAL INSURANCE for our employees or the option of a highly competitive medical plan with minimal monthly employee contributions.</li>\n <li>17 Days of paid, sick and vacation time annually (days are prorated in year one).</li>\n <li>401K retirement with up to 6% matching program.</li>\n <li>Excellent dental, vision programs, flex spending accounts, employer paid life insurance and free tele-med physician services.</li>\n <li>Various other company employee-centric perks initiatives; tuition reimbursement programs, discounted home/auto insurance programs, supplemental life insurance, and more.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>Qualifications&nbsp;</u></strong><u>&nbsp;</u></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor degree in science field or equivalent plus 3 - 5 years’ experience and knowledge in regulatory compliance in a chemical manufacturing plan, preferred. &nbsp;High school diploma<i> or</i> equivalent<i>, re</i>quired.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.</li>\n <li>Knowledge/experience with OSHA programs including fall protection, machine guarding, hazardous materials, personnel protective equipment, electrical safety, fire protection, hearing conservation program, respiratory protection program and toxic and hazardous substances and with EPA’s SPCC, SWPPP and RCRA programs.</li>\n <li>Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint within a Windows environment.</li>\n <li>Valid U.S. driver’s license</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Equal Opportunity Employer – Minority/Female/Disability/Veteran (M/F/D/V)</p>\n<p>MAPEIHP1</p>",
