    "description": "<p>Collins Machine Works is looking for a Wire EDM Machinist that will be responsible for setting up, operating and troubleshooting Wire EDM machines to produce precision components. The ideal applicant must have a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to read and interpret blueprints for complex parts.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Applicant must be a US citizen. Access to DoD facilities is required. Company is not able to sponsor work visa for this position.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Sign On Bonus</span></p>\n<p>Collins Machine Works offers a sign-on bonus in the amount of $2,000 to be paid after six months of satisfactory employment performance. Collins Machine Works also offers employee referral bonuses in the amount of $1,000 per referral to be paid after the referred employee has completed six months of satisfactory employment performance.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Major Responsibilities &amp; Essential Functions</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Set up and operate CNC Wire EDM machines to cut and shape various precision parts</li>\n<li>Properly and safely select, align, secure, and remove holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machines</li>\n<li>Recognize, deploy, and properly use inserts, fixtures, and tooling</li>\n<li>Read and interpret applicable drawings and blueprints of work to be performed and follows instructions</li>\n<li>Must be able to determine the proper tools required to perform given task</li>\n<li>Operates and utilizes lifting aids as necessary to perform work</li>\n<li>Use precision measuring instruments to meet tolerance requirements (micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, etc.)</li>\n<li>Perform daily, regular cleaning and light maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment</li>\n<li>Ability to read travelers</li>\n<li>Perform all tasks in a safe and responsible manner while maintaining safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations</li>\n<li>Work overtime as needed on evenings and/or weekends</li>\n<li>Communicates with others to coordinate work in plant</li>\n<li>Other duties as assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Benefits</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance</li>\n<li>401K with company match</li>\n<li>Paid Time Off</li>\n<li>Short Term Disability and basic Life Insurance provided by company</li>\n<li>Supplementary Insurance: Accident, Critical Illness, Voluntary Life/AD&amp;D, and Long Term Disability available</li>\n<li>Employee Assistance Programs</li>\n<li>Opportunity for yearly bonus, profit sharing, overtime, and night shift differential</li>\n</ul>\n<ul></ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Qualifications</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Understanding of Wire EDM process, setup, and maintenance</li>\n<li>Understanding of G, D, and T</li>\n<li>High school diploma or GED</li>\n<li>3 to 5 years related experience is preferred</li>\n<li>Language skills - effectively communicate and understand job instructions both verbally and written in the English language</li>\n<li>Ability to effectively interpret and translate instructions to other employees in a professional and respectful manner</li>\n<li>Ability and willingness to learn</li>\n<li>Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions</li>\n<li>Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables</li>\n<li>A strong, proven interest in engineering and mechanical systems</li>\n<li>Read blueprints and precision measuring tools</li>\n<li>Ability to perform basic mathematical computations</li>\n<li>Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, rations, and proportions to practical situations</li>\n<li>Must have basic machinist tools</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Physical Demands</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ability to move or transfer products with an overhead crane</li>\n<li>Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs. at a time when required</li>\n<li>While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, reach overhead with hands and arms, stoop, crouch, kneel, climb ladders, and use stairs</li>\n<li>Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus</li>\n<li>The employee will also be expected to spend time using a computer</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Work Environment</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job</li>\n<li>The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high</li>\n</ul>",
