    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><div><div><div><link href=\"https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/npm/[email protected]/css/froala_editor.pkgd.min.css\" rel=\"stylesheet\" type=\"text/css\">&nbsp;<link href=\"https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/npm/[email protected]/css/froala_style.min.css\" rel=\"stylesheet\" type=\"text/css\"><div class=\"fr-view\"><p><strong>Position</strong>: Outreach Instructor (Part-Time)</p><p><strong>Compensation</strong>: $15/hour</p><p><strong>Reports To</strong>: Manager of Group &amp; Outreach Programs</p><p><strong>Schedule</strong>: minimum of 3 days availability required, Monday-Friday preferred</p><p>&nbsp;<strong>How this position impacts MOSI&rsquo;s Mission</strong>:</p><p id=\"isPasted\">The MOSI Education team seeks an instructor with an engaging personality, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) background, and experience reaching diverse audiences for the MOSI in Motion outreach program. The primary function of this role is to lead group STEM programs largely outside of MOSI itself within the community, including traveling to schools, camps, and other settings. Programs focus on sparking learning through engaging, interactive, and hands-on experiences. This position requires working directly with students, teachers, parents, families, school administrators, MOSI staff and volunteers. &nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;<strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Teach STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Math) programs that blend content, engagement, and excitement into a seamless experience for the audience.&nbsp;</li><li>Engage the audience and create a positive learning environment by using their dynamic personality, performance/presentation techniques, and classroom management strategies.&nbsp;</li><li>Represent MOSI in the Tampa Bay community and help spread our mission and vision with enthusiasm and energy.&nbsp;</li><li>Work well independently with minimal supervision.</li><li>Fulfill duties that support educational programs: including preparation, cleaning, organizing, data entry, etc. &nbsp;</li><li>Occasionally assist as needed with other educational programming within MOSI&rsquo;s Education Dept.&nbsp;</li><li>Contribute expertise and creativity to our team and help develop new ideas for interacting with our audience.</li><li>Learn new skills, new practices, and new content by showing initiative.</li><li>Other teaching and supporting duties as assigned.&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Knowledge and background in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) field required. &nbsp;Bachelor&#39;s degree in a STEM field preferred. &nbsp;</li><li>Experience teaching or presenting to large and diverse audiences required.&nbsp;</li><li>Demonstrated strong classroom management skills, presentation skills, intrapersonal skills, and communication skills. &nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Valid Florida driver&rsquo;s license with proven safe driving record required.&nbsp;</li><li>Access to a reliable vehicle to travel to and from off-site program locations required.&nbsp;</li><li>Must be approved to work with children (Clear Level II Background Screening through Department of Children &amp; Families required).</li><li>Proficient and comfortable teaching and working with technology (i.e. mobile apps, Google Drive, MS Office, email, lab equipment, AV equipment).&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.</li><li>Ability to verbally project to large groups.</li><li>Ability to stand for long periods of time.&nbsp;</li><li>Availability of at least 3 days required. &nbsp;Tuesday-Saturday availability preferred.<strong><br>&nbsp;</strong></li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>MOSI Membership</strong> Complimentary annual family membership&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Local Memberships</strong><br>&nbsp;Complimentary annual family membership to Florida Aquarium, Glazier Children&rsquo;s Museum, and ZooTampa at Lowry Park&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Attraction Share&nbsp;</strong><br>&nbsp;MOSI participates in the program through the Florida Attraction Association which allows MOSI employees and their guests (up to 3) entrance free of charge or at a considerable discount, to the top attractions in Florida.
