    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><p id=\"isPasted\">The MHW assists the licensed nurses in providing patient care in the mental healthcare setting. He/she communicates with the Administrator, Manager, Charge RN and co-workers as appropriate about changes in patient&rsquo;s clinical condition including vital signs, behavioral and physical symptomatology. The BHU MHW is able to respond quickly to changes in patient&rsquo;s status. He/She is able to perform basic nursing functions under direction of Charge nurse.</p><p><strong>Benefits&nbsp;</strong></p><ul><li>Flexible Scheduling&nbsp;</li><li>Opportunities for Career Growth&nbsp;</li><li>Competitive Pay</li></ul><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><p>&nbsp;</p><ul><li><p>Insures that all Patient Rights are followed and adhered to.</p></li><li><p>Participates in providing cost-effective, quality, efficient patient care, under the direction of licensed nursing personnel in a timely manner.</p></li><li><p>Demonstrates leadership skills in de-escalation, seclusion, or restraint episodes following all hospital policies and procedures.</p></li><li><p>Obtains and documents, vital signs, height, weight, intake, and output accurately and reports all findings to nursing personnel. Consistently alerts RN to changes in vital signs, inadequate intake, or changes in the patient&rsquo;s condition.</p></li><li><p>Completes admission tasks as required by unit including, cataloging of patient&rsquo;s belongings and assisting RN in providing new patient orientation to unit/schedule. Labels patient&rsquo;s belongings that are stored and follows hospital policy for safeguarding valuables.</p></li><li><p>&nbsp;Recognizes and assists patients with ADL needs including bathing, ambulation, grooming and monitoring dietary intake taking into account the patients age and physical condition.</p></li><li><p>Assists the RN in identifying patients at risk for falls and follows fall precaution policies.</p></li><li><p>Provides care under the direction of a Registered Nurse to patients, including actions that meet their psychosocial, age specific, and physical needs.</p></li><li><p>Demonstrates basic knowledge of mental health disorders.</p></li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><p><em>Required</em></p><ul><li><p>Able to perform routine patient-care activities; physical strengths to assist patients in ambulating, turning in bed, and transferring in and out of bed or wheelchair.</p></li><li><p>Good communication skills.
