This includes but is not limited to training staff on computer systems such as record and verify, policies and procedures, , departmental flow, radiation therapy technology, and other related functions.</li>\n <li>The Radiation Therapist II must participate in weekend call rotation as needed.</li>\n <li>Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.</li>\n <li>Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><u>Other Related Functions:</u></strong></p>\n<p><strong><u> </u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Reinforces patient education concerning diet and side effects management. </li>\n <li>Actively consults the appropriate department when dealing with patient concerns outside therapist’s area of expertise. </li>\n <li>Provides all necessary daily patient related activities as outlined in departmental policies and procedures. </li>\n <li>Assists in the maintenance of all equipment by promptly reporting malfunctions and unsafe conditions to the Chief Radiation therapist. </li>\n <li>Documents all patient data related to treatments given, patients’ well-being, charges billed and procedures scheduled to facilitate a continuum of care.</li>\n <li>Demonstrates an understanding of all governmental statutes and regulations regarding the application of ionizing radiation on both the state and federal levels. </li>\n <li>Responsible for obtaining all continuing education requirements as set forth by the professional and state licensure organizations regulating the profession.</li>\n <li>Demonstrates aptitude in all areas of radiation therapy including, but not limited to, teletherapy, brachytherapy (HDR) (LDR), radiosurgery, stereotactic radiotherapy and to a lesser extent physics, dosimetry and nursing. </li>\n <li>Participates in weekend and holiday call schedules and morning warm-up rotations. </li>\n <li>Flexibility in hours worked to accommodate patient and departmental needs is essential. </li>\n <li>The therapist is expected to participate in community service and center wide educational events.</li>\n <li>Adequately demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide appropriate care according to the age and specific needs of the patient assigned to his or her care. </li>\n <li>Flexibility in hours worked to accommodate patient and departmental needs is essential. The therapist is expected to participate in community service and center wide educational events.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong><u>Education/Training:</u></strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Graduate from an accredited school of Radiation Therapy</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><u>Licensure/Certification:</u></strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>ARRT registered. </li>\n <li>Maintains current licensure by the State of Florida.</li>\n <li>Maintains current BLS/Healthcare provider certification</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><u>Experience:</u></strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>One (1) year experience in Radiation Therapy</li>\n</ul>",
