We invite <b>Advanced Practice Providers</b> to discover all that we can do when we bring healing hearts, inquisitive minds and visionaries together in our <b>Critical Care</b> team at <b>Atrium Health - Cabarrus</b>.</p>\n<p>The <b>Atrium Health Cabarrus Critical Care Team</b> is actively recruiting an <b>experienced, part-time Critical Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant</b>. The APP will be expected to manage medical, surgical, cardiac, and cardiothoracic surgery ICU patients and attend and contribute to group/practice meetings, development of policies and procedures, and quality improvement initiatives.</p>\n<p><b>About the position:</b></p>\n<ul>\n <li><b>Part-time position 0.8 fte = 116 shifts per year</b></li>\n <li>100% inpatient, adult medicine</li>\n <li>Service provides 24/7 coverage with shift-based model to a 54 bed ICU consisting of a mixed patient population of medical, surgical, and cardiovascular adult patients.</li>\n <li>Shifts are 13 hours long and include days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Shifts are rotated equally among staff.</li>\n <li>Current group consists of 14 physicians and 13 APPs</li>\n <li>Employer paid benefits and CME allowance offered</li>\n</ul>\n<p><b>Position Qualifications:</b></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Graduation from an accredited NP or PA program. License to practice as a NP or PA in North Carolina. Prescriptive privileges and DEA license required. BLS/ACLS for healthcare provider from AHA required.</li>\n <li>Nurse practitioners are required to have a Master’s Degree or Post Master’s Certificate in Acute Care</li>\n <li>Physician Assistants with certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants preferred. Current or pending CAQ certification preferred.</li>\n <li>NP/PA or RN experience in ICU required</li>\n <li>Knowledgeable about the following procedures or willing to learn: Central Line Placement, Arterial Line Placement, and Intubation</li>\n</ul>\n<p><b>About us:</b></p>\n<p>Concord is located just 20 miles from the city of Charlotte and is three hours from both the NC beaches and the NC Blue Ridge mountains.
