We are a strong-knit community that values the ideas and contributions of our staff. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This is a 6 month long temporary position, 16 hours per week, with an anticipated start date of July. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner is responsible for providing direct service to patients at the Worcester County Jail and House of Corrections and to consult with other staff on the design of treatment plans, clinical problems, and related issues.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Are you ready to make a difference</strong><strong>?</strong></p>\n<h2>Minimum Education Required</h2>Master's Degree\n<h2>Shift</h2>First Shift\n<h2>Additional Shift Details</h2>Monday - Friday 4 days 8:00am-12:00pm or 12:00pm-4:00pm or 2 days 8:00am-4:00pm \n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Provides medical and psychiatric service and consultation to patients at the Worcester County Jail and House of Corrections</li>\n <li>Provides teaching and consultation to other members of the multidisciplinary team of Advocates Behavioral Health Division.</li>\n <li>Actively participates in the Quality Improvement process of Advocates Behavioral Health Division.</li>\n <li>Maintains all records in accordance with the policies and procedures of Advocates Behavioral Health Division.</li>\n <li>Practice in general accordance with the treatment philosophy of Advocates Behavioral Health Division.</li>\n <li>Maintains open, collaborative and collegial relationships with other team members at Advocates Behavioral Health Division.</li>\n <li>Attends and actively participates in supervision and staff meetings.</li>\n <li>This poisiton works with high acuity patients</li>\n <li>There is an on call rotation every other month</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Master’s or Doctoral degree from an accredited nursing program.</li>\n <li>Forensic experience prefered, but not required</li>\n <li>Valid Registered Nurse license in good standing issued by the Massachusetts (MA) Board of Registration in Nursing.</li>\n <li>MA Board of Registration in Nursing Authorization to practice as a Nurse Practitioner or Psychiatric Clinical Nurse Specialist.</li>\n <li>American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Board Certification. Other board certifications may meet requirement if candidate can demonstrate significant relevant experience with psychiatric assessment and treatment.</li>\n <li>Current, valid, and unrestricted DEA and MA Controlled Substance Registrations. Preference for candidate who is eligible for or currently authorized to engage in independent prescriptive practice by meeting the requirements of MA 244 CMR 4.00.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><em>Advocates is committed to cultivating a diverse and welcoming community where everyone feels respected and valued.
