Description

Position Specifics: Reports To: Service Manager Supervises: None FLSA Code: Nonexempt Purpose: Independently performs advanced diagnostics, service repairs, and maintenance work on customer and/or dealer-owned agricultural, application, and turf equipment. Diagnosis and repair will be performed in the field a majority of the time as this is a mobile technician position. Responsibilities: Performs advanced diagnostics and repairs on agricultural, application, and turf equipment as well as established Agriculture Management Solution (AMS) products Participates in Service EDUCATE Training Programs required for the development of skills and knowledge Reviews and explains any maintenance, repairs, or other service concerns directly with the customer and/or documents on work order Maintains current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products Maintains condition of vehicles, inventory, tools, and equipment Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments Completes all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments Accounts for all time and all material used in performing assigned duties Mentors Service Technician Trainees Conducts and/or support customer clinics Job Requirements: Experience performing service repairs on Large Agriculture, Sprayers, and Turf Equipment Ability to perform advanced repairs and maintenance using special tools and equipment following Technical Manual procedures Advanced knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems used in the repair of agricultural, application, and turf equipment Proficient oral and written communication skills Ability to work on their own and have excellent organization skills Excellent skills in operating vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes Ability to use Service Advisor and basic computer functions Ability to lift at least 75 lbs. repeatedly Advanced Service Technician Certification preferred High School Diploma or equivalent experience required; Associates degree preferred Valid driver’s license required along with a good driving record Must maintain a good driving record in compliance with company Motor Vehicle Records criteria throughout employment Forklift license preferred Must have reliable attendance Ability to work varying shifts, weekends, and holidays Full-Time Benefit Packages: Paid Holidays & Vacation Time Health, Vision, & Dental Insurance Life Insurance 401K Plan with Company Match Routine Performance & Pay Reviews Flexible Spending Account (FSA) Safety Equipment Allowance Company Provided Uniforms All benefits subject to change.
