This role includes <strong>supporting forklift maintenance and repairs across both company locations (Riverside and Fontana)</strong>, ensuring consistent equipment reliability and safety standards. Duties involve corrective and preventive maintenance on hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and structural components. Forklift maintenance mechanics typically develop and follow a scheduled maintenance plan for all machines, troubleshoot complex issues as they occur, maintain an inventory of spare parts, and generally work to ensure forklift are in good safety and operational conditions. The job function could include overtime or weekends as necessary. Aside from direct urgent repair work, you may be responsible for maintaining a battery charging area, driving company truck around to pick up supplies, and recording work-orders and maintenance logs to track the history of each forklift.</p>\n <div>\n  <p><strong><u>Responsibilities&nbsp;</u></strong></p>\n  <ul>\n   <li><span>Coordinate forklift corrective and preventive maintenance with service suppliers.</span></li>\n   <li><span>Perform emergency repairs and improvements on forklifts as needed. &nbsp;</span></li>\n   <li><span>Interpret manufacturer's technical manuals to perform the necessary maintenance and repairs needed.&nbsp;</span></li>\n   <li><span>Provide maintenance and repair support for forklifts and lifting equipment at both company locations (Riverside and Fontana), ensuring operational consistency and minimal downtime.</span></li>\n   <li><span>Troubleshoot forklift problems to include brake, electrical and hydraulic systems, detect imperfections, potential problems, safety issues and/or malfunctions.&nbsp;</span></li>\n   <li><span>Good working knowledge of brake systems.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;</span></li>\n   <li><span>Ability to work on LP, gas, diesel and electrical systems.&nbsp;</span></li>\n   <li><span>Coordinate broken or defective components and keep proper inventory levels of the most critical parts.</span></li>\n   <li><span>Perform safety inspection of forklifts prior to being released back to the work floor.&nbsp;</span></li>\n   <li><span>Ensure work area and methods used in carrying out job duties meet safety requirements.</span></li>\n   <li><span>Maintain a clean and organized workstation.</span></li>\n   <li><span>Competent to complete legible service documents, available forklifts list and current condition reports, logs for preventative maintenance tasks.</span></li>\n   <li><span>Assist and conducting Root Cause Analysis to help to prevent future failures.</span></li>\n   <li><span>Excellent communication and management skills are needed to make sure you can handle multiple tasks simultaneously.</span></li>\n   <li><span>Developing good relationships with various parties is crucial to facility management; you should be able to build and maintain these relationships long-term.</span></li>\n   <li><span>Good time management skills are required to make sure all maintenance processes are managed on time.</span></li>\n   <li><span>Have positive attitude self-motivated, great attention to details, and be goal oriented.</span></li>\n   <li><span>Exceptional analytical skills are needed to process different information and make informed decisions on things, such as equipment needs and budget concerns, among other things</span></li>\n   <li><span>Ability to manage and supervise complex, multi-discipline projects simultaneously as needed.</span></li>\n   <li><span>Knowledge of various reliability measures and techniques is recommended.</span></li>\n   <li><span>Problem-solving skills are crucial, along with excellent decision-making skills.</span></li>\n   <li><span>Ability to face the physical strain of walking, while maintaining and managing all maintenance activities as required.</span></li>\n   <li><span>Strong positive attitude to provide high quality service.</span></li>\n   <li><span>Sense of urgency to help quick repairs and solutions.</span></li>\n  </ul>\n  <p style=\"margin-left:0.5in\">&nbsp;</p>\n  <p><strong><u>Qualifications</u></strong></p>\n  <ul>\n   <li><span>Maintenance Mechanical Forklift skills.</span></li>\n   <li><span>At least five to ten years of experience in lifting devices preventive maintenance and repairs.</span></li>\n   <li><span>Valid driver’s license with a <strong>successful Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check required</strong>, demonstrating safe driving history and compliance with company standards.</span></li>\n  </ul>\n  <p>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</p>\n </div>\n <p><strong><u>WORKING CONDITIONS</u></strong></p>\n <ul>\n  <li>This position works in a manufacturing environment.&nbsp;</li>\n  <li>Able to perform all assigned duties under different weather conditions.&nbsp;</li>\n  <li>Work is performed in a manufacturing environment in all weather conditions.</li>\n  <li>Lift up to 25 lbs. regularly, up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 75 lbs. occasionally</li>\n  <li>Bend, twist, climb, squat, kneel throughout shift Able to work in extreme heat or cold conditions.</li>\n  <li>Ability to function successfully in a fast-paced, changing work environment.</li>\n  <li>Must be able to handle both large pieces and small pieces of parts and components.</li>\n  <li>Use hands for simple and power grasping as well as push/pull and fine manipulation.</li>\n  <li>Work at and/or below shoulder level</li>\n  <li>See fine detail in printed product along with checking for color accuracy</li>\n </ul>\n <p>&nbsp;</p>\n <p><span>The pay for this position is $35.66.
