Service work includes installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical, mechanical, computer, and industrial systems and controls of mechanical equipment located in production settings.&nbsp;</p><p><strong><u>Essential Duties</u></strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Install, maintain, and repair electro-mechanical equipment.&nbsp;</li><li>Travel to customer locations throughout North America to perform installations, maintenance, and repairs to electro-mechanical equipment.</li><li>Prepare and test all equipment before equipment is shipped to customers to ensure proper functioning and operation.</li><li>Load and unload equipment at Volm and customer facilities.</li><li>Train customers and operators on proper use of equipment sold and serviced by Volm Companies.</li><li>Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with equipment utilizing technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostics tools, visually and by sound.</li><li>Conduct phone service support on an &ldquo;on-call&rdquo; basis.</li><li>Document all installation and service work performed in a timely manner including expense reports, service reports, time sheets, etc.</li><li>Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.</li></ul><p><strong><u>Required Skills and Abilities</u></strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Ability to obtain and maintain a valid US passport or passport card preferred.</li><li>Developed understanding and use of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems, including PLC and VFD controls.</li><li>Ability to accurately read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic drawings, schematics, and diagrams.</li><li>Strong critical thinking, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.</li><li>Ability to read and follow oral and written instructions.</li><li>Ability to handle stress and successfully perform in a fast-past environment.</li><li>The ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without direct supervision.</li><li>Adaptability and flexibility to embrace new skills.</li></ul><ul><li>Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.</li><li>Strong time management skills for efficient task allocation and meeting deadlines.</li><li>Meticulous attention to detail in completing tasks and maintaining high-quality standards.</li></ul><p><strong><u>Education and Experience</u></strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Knowledge of mechanical and electrical standards and practices normally acquired through completion of a technical certificate or equivalent combinations of education and experience.</li><li>Established experience working with material and resource planning systems, spreadsheets, word processing documents, customer management databases, and other applicable computer systems and data management software preferred.</li><li>Established experience in electro-mechanical principles, systems, and repair preferred.</li><li>Journeyman electrician license preferred.</li><li>Established experience building and maintaining strong customer service relationships preferred.</li></ul><p><strong><u>Physical Requirements</u></strong></p><ul><li>Ability to stand, walk, and move around for extended periods of time.</li><li>Capability to lift and carry objects of various weights, ranging from light office supplies to heavy machinery components.</li><li>Proficiency in using hands, fingers, and arms for tasks such as typing, writing, operating machinery, assembling products, etc.</li><li>Sufficient visual acuity to read documents, operate equipment, and recognize details at close and distant ranges.</li><li>Ability to hear and understand verbal communication, as well as detect warning signals or equipment malfunctions.</li><li>Endurance to withstand prolonged periods of physical activity or work shifts, particularly relevant for manufacturing roles that involve repetitive tasks.</li><li>Ability to move quickly, easily, and with coordination to navigate through tight spaces, react swiftly to changing work conditions, and perform tasks that require agility.</li><li>Flexibility to bend, stoop, and reach low or high objects, particularly relevant for jobs that involve material handling or maintenance tasks.</li><li>Capability to climb ladders, stairs, or scaffolding, as required in certain manufacturing or construction environments.</li><li>Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, such as lifting, pushing, pulling, or carrying heavy objects.</li><li>Good hand-eye coordination and motor skills for tasks that require precision, such as operating machinery or using hand tools.</li><li>Adaptability to work in varying environmental conditions, such as temperature extremes, noise, dust, or fumes, depending on the nature of the job.</li><li>Willingness to adhere to safety protocols and wear protective gear, including helmets, goggles, gloves, and safety shoes, as required by the job.</li></ul><p><strong><u>Company Culture &amp;
