    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong>This Opportunity</strong></p><p>WSP is currently initiating a search for a <strong>Senior Electrical Engineer&nbsp;</strong>to join our <strong>Property &amp; Buildings team</strong> in <strong>Riverside, California</strong>. This role will support the design and delivery of projects primarily within the Education sector, including K-12 and Higher Education facilities.</p><p>This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to impactful, community-focused projects while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative and sustainable building solutions.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Your Impact</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li>Lead electrical design efforts for Education sector projects (K-12, colleges, and universities)</li><li>Perform and oversee design of power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, low-voltage systems, and emergency power systems</li><li>Develop construction documents, specifications, and technical reports</li><li>Coordinate with architects, mechanical engineers, and other disciplines to ensure integrated design solutions</li><li>Support project management activities, including scope, schedule, and budget adherence</li><li>Review and QA/QC work of junior engineers and designers</li><li>Participate in client meetings and help maintain strong client relationships</li><li>Provide mentorship and technical guidance to early career engineers</li><li>Support construction administration activities, including site visits and RFIs</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Who You Are</strong></p><p><strong>Required Qualifications:</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li>Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline</li><li>Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in building systems design</li><li>Demonstrated experience working on Education sector projects</li><li>Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD</li><li>Strong knowledge of applicable codes and standards (NEC, Title 24, etc.)</li><li>Engineer-in-Training (EIT)&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li>Active PE license in California (or ability to obtain)</li><li>Experience with sustainable design and energy-efficient systems</li><li>Familiarity with campus environments and large-scale institutional projects</li><li>Strong communication and collaboration skills</li><li>Experience mentoring junior staff</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><span style=\"color: black;\"><u>WSP Benefits:&nbsp;</u></span></p><p style=\"margin-left: 0.5in;\">&nbsp;</p><p style=\"margin-bottom: 12pt;\"><span style=\"color: black;\">WSP provides a comprehensive suite of benefits focused on a providing health and financial stability throughout the employee’s career.
