Description Job Purpose: - The Grocery Supervisor at PAY-LESS is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the grocery department, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction, and maintaining efficient and effective store operations. Key Responsibilities: - Supervise and lead the grocery department team, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high performance and adherence to company standards. - Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular stock checks, and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely replenishment of products. - Ensure the grocery department is clean, organized, and visually appealing to enhance the customer shopping experience. - Implement and enforce company policies, procedures, and safety standards to maintain a secure and compliant working environment. - Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints in a professional and timely manner to ensure customer satisfaction. - Collaborate with other departments to coordinate promotions, sales events, and merchandising strategies. - Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and improvement within the grocery department. - Prepare and manage department budgets, ensuring financial targets are met and costs are controlled effectively. - Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to staff to promote professional development and career growth. - Stay informed about industry trends and best practices to continuously improve department operations and customer service. Qualifications Required Education: - High school diploma or equivalent is required. - An associate's degree in business management or a related field is preferred. Required Experience: - Minimum of 2 years of experience in a retail grocery environment. - Proven track record of supervising a team in a fast-paced setting. - Experience in inventory management and stock control. - Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and cash handling procedures. Required Skills and Abilities: - Strong leadership and team management skills. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks efficiently. - Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software. - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
