    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><div><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\" data-pasted=\"true\"><strong>TITLE:&nbsp;</strong>Counselor, Substance Use Disorder</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>RESPONSIBLE TO:&nbsp;</strong>Clinical Supervisor and/or Clinical Director</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>SUMMARY:&nbsp;</strong>The Substance Use Disorder Counselor&rsquo;s primary role, under the direction of the Clinical Supervisor and/or Clinical Director, is to utilize their specialized clinical knowledge and clinical skills in counseling, diagnostic interviews, assessments, ASAMs to assist individuals struggling with a substance use disorder in their recovery journey. The Substance Use Disorder Counselor will provide therapy sessions for individuals, groups and families.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>BLOODBORNE PATHOGEN CATEGORY:&nbsp;</strong>Conducting random instant urine drug screens may place you at risk of encountering bloodborne pathogens due to possible contact with urine, blood and/or feces.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><br></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong><em>Day-to-Day Responsibilities</em></strong></p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Conduct thorough initial assessment and complete the initial ASAM to determine the extent of the substance use disorder and to assure proper placement within the level of care for which the client is recommended.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Provide evidence-based individual and group counseling utilizing various therapeutic approaches tailored to the client&rsquo;s needs.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Establish clear goals and strategies for the welfare and recovery of the client and maintain documentation of services provided and client&rsquo;s progress/regress.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">At each session the counselor will assess for safety, imminent risk of harm and relapse potential and make referrals to higher levels of care if needed.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Work with the client to develop an individualized treatment plan (ITP) according to OMHAS and CARF person/family-centered standards, review and monitor services and activities, documenting progress/regress.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Complete Continuing ASAMS with clients every 30 days or when a significant event occurs to determine client is placed within the appropriate level of care.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Offer education and guidance on the physical, psychological, and social effects of substance use disorder, as well as develop strategies for relapse prevention.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of health professionals, including physicians, psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and nurses, to provide integrated care to clients with co-occurring disorders.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Collaborate with courts, probation/parole officers, law enforcement, and child protective services agencies to assure client safety and progress/regress within the client&rsquo;s recovery journey.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Maintain accurate, up-to-date client records, documenting treatment interventions, progress, and outcomes in compliance with legal and ethical standards.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Conduct regular reviews and consultations with clients to assess treatment effectiveness and address any challenges or concerns.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Provide crisis intervention services to clients in urgent situations, coordinating appropriate care and support as needed.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Provide random instant urine drug screens as needed.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Engage in continuous professional development by attending workshops, seminars, and training sessions to enhance knowledge and skills.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Uphold ethical standards and confidentiality in all interactions with clients and colleagues, in accordance with relevant state and federal laws.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Make appropriate referral if identified deficiency is outside of the counselor&rsquo;s scope of practice. (MH/ Physical Health).</li></ul></div><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><br></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong><em>Day-To-Day Team Member Responsibilities</em></strong></p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Willingly serve in a professional and collaborative capacity with all other employees of Path Behavioral Healthcare, fully understanding and complying with all organizational processes and policies.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Collaborate with all supervisors and coworkers to communicate with transparency and drive implementation of the organization&rsquo;s goals, objectives, and processes.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Maintain and organize practice and schedule, be at work on time and ready to work, and leave work at the completion of client care responsibilities.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Reduce rescheduling by fully informing the appropriate person of the necessary time off work.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Maintain strict compliance with HIPPA and 42-CFR guidelines, confidentiality agreements, billing and coding guidelines, and company policy.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Maintain a demeanor of positive professionalism and service as a model for others to exemplify the mission and vision of Path Behavioral Healthcare.</li></ul></div><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong><em>Licensing/Continuing Education</em></strong></p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Maintain an active, unrestricted Ohio licensure to provide the Substance Use Disorder Counseling Services.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Attends all required continuing education opportunities per the regulations of your licensing body.</li></ul></div><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>QUALIFICATIONS</strong></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong><em>Education:&nbsp;</em></strong>Master&rsquo;s or bachelor&rsquo;s degree preferred, but candidate must have no less than a high school education and hold a CDCA with no less than one year experience.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong><em>Licensure:&nbsp;</em></strong>Candidate must possess a CDCA with one year experience, LCDCII, LCDCIII, LICDC, LSW, LISW, LPC, LPCC</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong><em>Experience:&nbsp;</em></strong>Candidates must have a minimum of 1 years&rsquo; experience in an outpatient setting.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong><em>Physical Effort:&nbsp;</em></strong>This position requires the ability to work under stressful conditions and to work irregular hours.
