In this role you will be responsible for designing fire alarm detection and special hazard type systems for a variety of construction projects as well as specialized fire suppression systems which would include clean agent, CO2, and VESDA. </p>\n<p>#shambaugh #LI-TS #LI-onsite</p>\n<h2>Essential Duties & Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Design and layout fire alarm detection and clean agent suppression systems.</li>\n <li>Self-development and training</li>\n <li>Prepare drawings, specifications, calculations, and schematics required to support the installation of fire alarm systems.</li>\n <li>Maintain project drawing files, associate records, and documentation tracking.</li>\n <li>Timely completion and processing of required paperwork.</li>\n <li>Help improve the design department.</li>\n <li>Promote safety to the team members on their projects.</li>\n <li>Assist project estimator with project cost and change order issues.</li>\n <li>Planning, scheduling, and project management of their projects.</li>\n <li>Quality design & layout of fire alarm & releasing systems.</li>\n <li>Other duties as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Associate or bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering technology, electrical engineering, a technical or business discipline preferred or equivalent experience. Examples include architectural, civil engineering, design engineering technology, mechanical engineering, and construction management degrees. Degree can be replaced with a minimum of 5 year experience in the fire alarm industry.</li>\n <li>Good computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other software programs.</li>\n <li>High electrical & mechanical interest.</li>\n <li>AutoCAD experience preferred.</li>\n <li>Ability to multi-task.</li>\n <li>Valid driver’s license and excellent driving record.</li>\n <li>Must be organized and self-motivated with a strong work ethic and excellent communication skills.</li>\n <li>Regular and reliable attendance, including the ability to work extended hours and weekends as required</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Equal Opportunity Employer</h2>As a leading provider of mechanical and electrical construction, facilities services, and energy infrastructure, we offer employees a competitive salary and benefits package and we are always looking for individuals with the talent and skills required to contribute to our continued growth and success.
