Our commitment to excellence stems from our personal integrity and from other defining attributes, which we call “Dewberry at Work,” that have inspired our employees to be successful for more than a half-century.</em> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability to mobilize, energize, and organize cross-functional teams for success in winning and delivering complex projects</li>\n <li>Strategic thinker, bringing market facing ideas, strategies, and expertise to decision-making and strategic planning</li>\n <li>Highly motivated to achieve business goals while at the same time investing and building for longer term growth and stability</li>\n <li>Ensure all operational activities conform to and integrate with organizations requirements for quality management, health and safety, legal compliance, and general policies and procedures</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Project & Technical Leadership</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Lead teams in all aspects of site/civil design including site layout and planning, grading, stormwater management, erosion & sediment control, utilities, roadways, and permitting </li>\n <li>Manage the design and delivery of multiple, concurrent projects </li>\n <li>Ensure project quality, schedule, and budget expectations are met.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Client Engagement & Business Development</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Serve as a primary point of contact for clients and agency staff </li>\n <li>Participate in public and construction meetings as needed </li>\n <li>Support business development, marketing efforts, and proposal preparation </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Team Development</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Oversee, mentor, and train junior and mid‑level team members </li>\n <li>Help foster a collaborative, learning‑focused team culture </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Required Skills & Required Experience</h2>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>BS degree in Civil Engineering</strong> or related field </li>\n <li><strong>Minimum 10 years of directly related experience</strong></li>\n <li><strong>Virginia Professional Engineer (PE) license</strong> required</li>\n <li>Minimum of 10 years of experience as a consulting engineer including experience working with clients and projects in <strong>Prince William County and adjacent jurisdictions. </strong></li>\n <li>Thorough understanding of the <strong>Northern Virginia</strong> market; strong relationships with decision makers in public agencies and/or relationships with private entities</li>\n <li>Strong written and verbal <strong>communication skills</strong> </li>\n <li>Strong proficiency in <strong>AutoCAD Civil 3D</strong> and <strong>Microsoft Office</strong> </li>\n <li>Proven ability to manage <strong>multiple project assignments</strong> concurrently </li>\n <li>Desire to work in a <strong>team‑oriented, collaborative</strong> environment </li>\n <li>Experience working with clients and maintaining <strong>project budgets and schedules</strong></li>\n <li>Ability to provide <strong>technical expertise</strong> and guidance to design staff</li>\n <li>Politically Astute</li>\n <li>Strategic development and <strong>problem-solving skills</strong> plus goal driven energized by challenges</li>\n <li>Demonstrated ability to<strong> build strong trusting relationships</strong></li>\n <li>Ability to recruit, select, and develop staff</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Why Dewberry?</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Lead projects that directly impact our local communities </li>\n <li>Join a supportive, growth‑oriented team</li>\n <li>Competitive compensation and benefits program</li>\n <li>Real opportunities for leadership and career progression</li>\n <li>Work with a respected, multidiscipline firm backed by strong resources</li>\n</ul>\n<p><em><strong>Don’t meet every single requirement?
