Responsibilities
Summary
Coordinates the activities of the Heat Treat Department personnel to ensure that daily production is processed in the safest and efficient manner according to customer specifications; enforces company policies and procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities This is not intended as a comprehensive list; it is intended to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities. Incumbent(s) may not be required to perform all duties listed, and may be required to perform additional, position-specific tasks.
Executes daily productions plans through coordination with other lead personnel and production employees. Observes machines and equipment and takes action to correct malfunction as necessary. Provides clear verbal and written direction to subordinate employees related to safety, quality and production. Ensure that each operation under supervision performs according to plan. Examine materials and products at various stages of production to evaluate conformance to specifications. Executes production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignments. Executes and adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules as necessary. Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product as part of continuous improvement. Ensures that daily production targets are met and assists other shifts meet their daily goals. Approves employees’ timecards and monitors overtime assignments to ensure it complies with policies and legal requirements. Maintains a safe, clean and organized work environment. Conducts and ensures that standard operating procedure training is conducted daily, weekly or monthly as required. Conducts regular operational audits to ensure that safety, quality, production and housekeeping practices are followed according to plan. Writes daily production, quality and safety reports as necessary. Performs injury investigations and injury prevention improvements. Participate in teams and committees as necessary. Prepare requisitions and orders supplies and materials as necessary.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly supervises employees in the Heat Treat Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Basic Qualification
High school diploma or Associate’s degree equivalent from college or technical school.
Minimum five years related experience/or training and manufacturing experience.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems.
