    "description": "<h2>Min</h2>USD $55,000.00/Yr.\n<h2>Max</h2>USD $60,000.00/Yr.\n<h2>Position Overview</h2>\n<p>The Family Specialist is responsible to work collaboratively as part of an integrated behavioral health team to address the needs of the “whole person”, including their physical and emotional health.</p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<li><strong>ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></li>\n<ul>\n <li>Conduct in-depth family histories and family assessment for service planning integrating the needs of all family members individually and the needs of the family unit; make appropriate recommendations to the treatment team. </li>\n <li>To increase family stability, the Family Life Specialist will assess family’s behavioral and relational problems and refer them to needed services. </li>\n <li>Strengthen the families by offering services such as child care planning, self-sufficiency goal setting, educational assistance for children, working with foster care agencies, crisis intervention, family mediation and conflict resolution, and parenting skills workshops.</li>\n <li>Complete all progress notes, treatment planning goals, written assessments, and other required documentation of services rendered in a timely fashion.</li>\n <li>Conduct home and office visits as necessary.</li>\n <li>Participate with and support client in service planning for family reunification.</li>\n <li>Coordinate with other public systems, providing direction and advocacy on behalf of client families, including child welfare agencies, courts, and public assistance as necessary. </li>\n <li>Prepares report for Assistant Deputy Director of Mental Health Services and Executive Director, including any problems, and proposals for changes in policies or program design</li>\n <li>Other duties as assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>REQUIREMENTS </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field required, MSW/LMSW or Masters in Human Services field preferred</li>\n <li>Minimum 2 years’ experience working with families. </li>\n <li>Familiar with clinical issues including substance abuse, domestic violence, mental health, child welfare, child development, cognitive/developmental disabilities, family re-unification, and/or family system work. </li>\n <li>Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with people from diverse cultures and backgrounds.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><em>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS</em></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Knowledge of AWARDS </li>\n <li>Bilingual English/Spanish speaking preferred</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Company Overview</h2>\n<p><strong>S:US IS AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER</strong> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Join a team of employees who care about the wellbeing of others.
