Description

Your mission Advance our understanding of foot biomechanics to optimize our custom footwear solutions, with a focus on fit, midsole stiffness, upper flexibility, and future research directions. Your profile Key Responsibilities: Lead initiatives to refine the fitting process and shoe profile characteristics, ensuring improved alignment between user anatomy and shoe geometry. Analyze biomechanical data to enhance shoe customization parameters, focusing on pressure distribution, joint kinematics, and movement patterns. Research and develop advanced methods for foot scanning, gait analysis, and movement tracking to capture high-fidelity input data for footwear fitting algorithms. Design and manage experimental setups for biomechanical testing, including walking, running, and standing scenarios across various terrains and user demographics. Design and manage controlled lab-based experiments for comprehensive shoe performance testing, including durability, flexibility, stiffness, and energy return metrics. Collaborate with external labs to perform unbiased third-party testing, ensure proper protocols, and interpret test results to validate biomechanical hypotheses. Assist in footwear simulation modeling to evaluate long-term wear processes, pressure points, and potential failure areas through virtual prototyping and digital twin approaches. Define and maintain classification systems for different types of footwear based on their mechanical, structural, and performance-related characteristics. Develop methods and criteria to assess and quantify these parameters through both subjective user feedback and objective mechanical testing. Support the integration of biomechanical insights into design software tools, enabling automated adjustments and smart recommendation systems. Collaborate cross-functionally with design, material science, and product engineering teams to ensure biomechanical findings directly inform product development. Stay up to date with advancements in wearable sensor technology, musculoskeletal modeling, and sports science to inform long-term research strategy. Skills & Experience: Strong background in human anatomy and biomechanics. Extensive experience in data collection, motion analysis, and fit evaluation.
