    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>Responsible for diagnosing problems and performing complex and/or major mechanical repairs on the customer’s vessel, both commercial and pleasure craft applications, at dock or sea on customer's equipment including engines, engine components, propulsion systems, electronics, and subassemblies.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Accurately trouble shoot and diagnose all problems on customer equipment and perform complex and/or major repairs as required.</li>\n <li>Work with parts department to identify and order parts necessary to complete repairs and routine maintenance.</li>\n <li>Perform routine maintenance on equipment according to established guidelines and schedules.</li>\n <li>Complete all work orders and time sheets in a legible, accurate and timely manner.</li>\n <li>Must be available to work overtime hours as required to complete repairs, including occasional weekends and holidays.</li>\n <li>Ability to work independently in a safe and efficient manner.</li>\n <li>Maintain a clean and safe work environment.</li>\n <li>Perform all work in accordance with established quality standards and safety procedures.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Education/Experience:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and three to five years related experience required.</li>\n <li>Technical degree or certification in a diesel engine program preferred</li>\n <li>Clean driving record and valid Driver’s License required. </li>\n <li>Full complement of basic hand tools, both standard and metric, including torque wrenches are necessary</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>SKILLS & ABILITIES </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Basic computer navigation and utilization skills required.</li>\n <li>Ability to utilize laptop and portable diagnostic tools required.</li>\n <li>Experience with Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel) </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Other Requirements</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>The trait of being dependable and trustworthy.</li>\n <li> Ability to utilize the available time to organize and complete work within given deadlines.</li>\n <li> Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.</li>\n <li> Ability to take care of the customers’ needs while following company procedures.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h1>WORK ENVIRONMENT</h1>\n<p>Work at various customers' place of business outside and/or in a shop environment.
