Corgan is actively recruiting a dynamic Senior Doors + Hardware Specialist to join the firm as part of our Technical Services team. Tackle these responsibilities alongside a team of creative, highly motivated individuals who are passionate about their work and ready to collaborate to achieve outstanding results. Our ideal team member is passionate and progressively seeking more responsibilities to expand their expertise.
Responsibilities
Provide quality assurance and quality control of hardware specifications and sets.
Partner with design team to determine project door and hardware requirements for client’s needs for security, function, aesthetics, and cost while complying with regulatory requirements.
Assist with review of door and hardware submittals prepared by others for compliance with contract documents and project requirements.
Review drawings and specifications to ensure they conform to client’s hardware standards.
Maintain specialist workflow dashboard(s) for all requested door & hardware design & review deliverables.
Work effectively within a collaborative team environment.
Manage multiple projects at one time with accuracy and high attention to detail
Mentor, provide education and train architectural and interiors technical staff.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required
3+ years of client interaction experience required
Knowledge of major industry manufactures of doors, frames, hardware, access control systems and their various performance characteristics and appropriate applications
Knowledge of door schedules, specification hardware sets, and submittal hardware schedule
Knowledge of industry door and hardware finishes, DHI standards, and access controls
Knowledge of national, state, and local building codes as well as technical familiarity with hardware manufacturers’ most current products.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Bluebeam. AutoCAD and REVIT a plus.
Certifications
CSI CDT Certified Document Technologist preferred.
DHI DHIA Door + Hardware Industry Associate preferred.
This position is designated as full-time on-site and requires the employee to be physically present at the assigned office location Monday through Friday during standard business hours . Regular, reliable on-site attendance is an essential function of this role.
