We are currently recruiting to fill the following position:\n<h2>Job Description</h2>\n<p><strong>PRIDE Industries</strong> </p>\n<p><strong>Job Description</strong> </p>\n<p><strong> </strong> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Job:</strong> Store Worker Lead </p>\n<p><strong>Job Code: </strong> AA246 Store Worker Lead</p>\n<p><strong>SCA Occup:</strong> 21140 Store Worker I</p>\n<p><strong>Salary Grade: </strong> Federal Wage Determination or Collective Bargaining Agreement </p>\n<p><strong>FLSA Status: </strong> Non-Exempt </p>\n<p><strong>Approval Date: </strong> March 2017</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>SUPERVISES:</strong> </p>\n<p> There are no direct reports with this position.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>POSITION SUMMARY:  </strong> </p>Under limited supervision, the Store Worker Lead leads a work team of diverse individuals while prioritizing, assigning and coordinating team activities to stock merchandise in a retail environment, such as a commissary on a military base. This job class requires practical skill and knowledge of stocking and merchandising practices intended for display and resale purposes, and the ability to perform quality work with attention to knowing and using safe work practices. \n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>TYPICAL DUTIES: </strong> </p>1. *Prioritize and assign tasks, including coordination of work schedules to ensure coverage, rebalancing as necessary for special projects and customer satisfaction.2. *Maintain supplies and equipment to ensure proper operation and safe condition.3. *Train workers in the safe and proper use of products and equipment to meet quality and safety standards.4. *Train and assist workers in performing duties.5. *Monitor progress of tasks and inspect completed work to ensure quality.6. *Investigate discrepancies and report them to management, recommending improvements to resolve issues.7. *Monitor usage of inventory, supplies and equipment.8. Initiate supply/repair orders when inventory is low or replacements/repairs are required.9. *Prepare records and reports as needed.10. *Maintain a good relationship with workers and customer.11. *Stock merchandise on shelves, rotate product, and rearrange misplaced products.12. *Remove excess, outdated and damaged products, debris and cardboard.13. *Straighten merchandise in display sales areas for a neat, full, salable appearance. Rotate merchandise to maintain freshness and sale dates.14. *Return excess merchandise to storage.15. *Clean and dust shelves and products on or in display fixtures using various techniques common to the retail trade.16. *Perform wet and dry clean-up.17. *May operate a manual pallet jack, flat-bed/U-Boat cart. \n<p><strong>* </strong>Denotes Essential Job Function </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:</strong> </p>• Must meet all requirements of the worker position being led;• At least one year of stocker, merchandising, or related experience;• Experience working with adults with developmental disabilities and/or physical challenges preferred;• Knowledge of company safety policies and procedures;• Knowledge of departmental operations, procedures, and organizational policies;• Ability to manage material resources and time and to work independently and as a team;• Knowledge of specialized departmental equipment;• Ability to train employees in proper departmental practices and procedures, including safety and proper use of PPE, tools, and equipment;• Ability to communicate effectively; to present information and to respond to questions from managers, workers, clients, customers and others; and to escalate matters appropriately;• Human relations and interpersonal skills to build effective working relationships;• Mathematical ability including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division;• Flexibility to adapt to changing work priorities;• Demonstrated organizational, problem solving, and common sense skills;• Ability to interpret stock labels, shelf labels, date codes, and rotate stock appropriately.\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:</strong> </p>\n<p> High School Diploma or GED </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>CERTIFICATES OR LICENSES REQUIRED: </strong> </p>\n<p>The following licenses or certificates may be required depending on local, state and/or contract requirements:Valid Driver's License </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: </strong> </p>\n<p><strong> </strong>Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance:</p> • Maneuvering in and around the commissary• Bending, crouching, kneeling, squatting, stooping, and reaching• Lifting and/or carrying up to 25 pounds• Pulling and/or pushing up to 75 pounds• Grasping both small & large objects• Climbing/standing on ladders, step stools, and/or rolling stairs• Coordinating skills to place and rotate products on shelf\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>WORK ENVIRONMENT: </strong> </p>\n<p>Work is performed in a commissary, warehouse, or distribution environment with forklifts, material handling and production equipment.
