    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">About the role</span></p>\n<p>As a Business Quality Manager, your primary responsibility is to lead, support and develop our team of Business Quality Assessors, ensuring they continue to build the knowledge, skills and experience required to deliver high-quality, consistent outcomes across the business.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>As a senior and active practitioner, the role is responsible for undertaking client file reviews to demonstrate adherence to regulatory requirements, internal systems and controls, and Progeny’s risk management and governance process. It plays a key role in ensuring advice quality standards are maintained, regulatory expectations are met, and potential risks are identified and addressed.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Through a combination of leadership, oversight, and hands-on file assessments, the role supports the effective operation of the Advice Quality framework and contributes to continuous improvement across advice standards.<br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Key responsibilities include:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>To lead and support Business Quality Assessors within the team and aid in their development and capabilities, through regular support, learning and the sharing of knowledge and experience. Carry out monthly 1:1’s for all team members, supporting ongoing development.</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Assessment of advice in accordance with the Regulators and Progeny Policy.</li>\n<li>Support the introduction of AI tools to allow us to complete a higher volume of file checks to support our Client Outcomes.</li>\n<li>Own and manage the file review and pre-approval processes, ensuring files are reviewed in line with the T&amp;C Scheme and appropriate levels of supervision.</li>\n<li>Undertake file checks on client cases and second checks on the BQA team.</li>\n<li>Prepare MI on file checks undertaken, identifying trends and potential areas of risk / non-compliance.</li>\n<li>Manage compliance and delivery of all remedial action on client files undertaken.</li>\n<li>Identify weaknesses in business quality submission and recommend solutions to reduce or mitigate risk.</li>\n<li>Work closely with the T&amp;C Supervisors to ensure any development needs are captured, and plans are created where required.</li>\n<li>Maintain up-to-date knowledge and understanding of appropriate regulations and internal policies and procedures, including Anti-Money Laundering Regulation, General Data Protection Regulations, FCA Handbook and Progeny’s standards of client service and deliverables.</li>\n<li>Maintain appropriate Continued Professional Development records and supporting evidence.</li>\n<li>To liaise with the Head of Advice Quality to ensure that any agreed change in process is documented and appropriately implemented.</li>\n<li>Any other task as required by the Chief Risk Officer or Compliance Heads of Departments that could be expected as part of the role.</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Act as SME for both team and Planners as required.</li>\n<li>Liaise with other departments in writing policies and agreeing strategies, sitting on various committees as required.</li>\n<li>Deliver Planner training on an ad hoc basis.</li>\n<li>Hold consistency review meetings to share best practices.<br><br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Our ideal person</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Essential criteria</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Diploma in Financial Planning or equivalent</li>\n<li>File checking experience within a Financial Services / IFA environment</li>\n<li>Experience leading and developing teams to achieve high performance</li>\n<li>Strong understanding of Regulatory Handbooks and their practical application</li>\n<li>Good knowledge of regulatory suitability requirements</li>\n<li>Familiarity with product provider websites and online systems</li>\n<li>Excellent organisational and communication skills</li>\n<li>Ability to apply a consistent, fair, and balanced approach to assessments</li>\n<li>Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high‑quality records</li>\n<li>Ability to manage and prioritise workload effectively, including working under pressure<br><br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Desirable criteria</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>CeMAP or equivalent qualification</li>\n<li>Chartered or Fellowship status</li>\n<li>Certificate in Long‑Term Care Insurance</li>\n<li>Experience using AI tools and applying them to file checking or quality assurance</li>\n<li>Paraplanning or report writing experience</li>\n<li>Experience interpreting cash flow analysis</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Learning/Development opportunities</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Grow and collaborate in a supportive environment.</li>\n<li>Work towards Chartered and Fellowship status to further develop technical knowledge, fully funded and supported by the business.</li>\n<li>Learn and share knowledge with people from different professional backgrounds.</li>\n<li>Opportunities to develop new skills through lateral or functional moves.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>",
