    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong><u>Primary Duties &amp; Responsibilities</u></strong></p>\n<p><strong>Purchasing &amp; Procurement Responsibilities</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Procure raw materials, components, consumables, and services required to support fiber laser manufacturing operations.</li>\n <li>Manage purchase orders from requisition through receipt and invoice reconciliation.</li>\n <li>Monitor supplier performance related to delivery, quality, responsiveness, and cost.</li>\n <li>Coordinate with suppliers to resolve shortages, late deliveries, quality issues, and expedite critical materials as needed.</li>\n <li>Work closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to support new product introductions and engineering changes.</li>\n <li>Ensure purchasing activities comply with company policies, quality standards, and procurement procedures.</li>\n <li>Maintain accurate purchasing and supplier data within ERP/MRP systems.</li>\n <li>Support contract and service procurement for operational and facility-related needs.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Production Control Responsibilities</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Release, schedule, and monitor production work orders in accordance with manufacturing priorities and customer demand.</li>\n <li>Support inventory transactions, cycle counting activities, and inventory accuracy initiatives.</li>\n <li>Monitor WIP (Work in Process) inventory and assist in resolving production bottlenecks.</li>\n <li>Assist with production reporting, capacity planning, and schedule adherence metrics.</li>\n <li>Maintain accurate production and inventory records within ERP/MRP systems.</li>\n <li>Support continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory control, material flow, and production efficiency.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Inventory Management Responsibilities</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Maintain inventory accuracy for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.</li>\n <li>Analyze inventory trends and support inventory optimization efforts.</li>\n <li>Participate in physical inventories and cycle count programs.</li>\n <li>Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies in a timely manner.</li>\n <li>Coordinate material movement and replenishment activities to support manufacturing operations.</li>\n</ul>\n<div style=\"margin-bottom:0in\">\n &nbsp;\n</div>\n<p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p>\n<p><strong>Education &amp; Experience</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Associate degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or related field; or equivalent experience in lieu of degree.</li>\n <li>Minimum 3–5 years of experience in purchasing, production control, inventory management, or manufacturing operations.</li>\n <li>Experience in a manufacturing environment required; fiber optics, laser, electronics, or high-tech manufacturing experience preferred.</li>\n <li>Experience using ERP/MRP systems for purchasing and production planning activities.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Strong understanding of supply chain, purchasing, inventory control, and production scheduling principles.</li>\n <li>Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.</li>\n <li>Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.</li>\n <li>Effective communication and interpersonal skills with internal teams and suppliers.</li>\n <li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.</li>\n <li>Detail-oriented with strong follow-through and accuracy.</li>\n <li>Ability to interpret production schedules, inventory data, and procurement requirements.</li>\n</ul>\n<div style=\"margin-bottom:0in\">\n &nbsp;\n</div>\n<p><strong>Working Conditions</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Primarily office-based within a manufacturing environment.</li>\n <li>Regular interaction with production floor personnel and suppliers.</li>\n <li>May require occasional lifting of materials up to 25 pounds.</li>\n</ul>\n<div style=\"margin-bottom:0in\">\n &nbsp;\n</div>\n<p><strong>Key Competencies</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Supplier Management</li>\n <li>Inventory Accuracy &amp; Control</li>\n <li>Production Scheduling</li>\n <li>ERP/MRP System Utilization</li>\n <li>Cross-Functional Collaboration</li>\n <li>Continuous Improvement</li>\n <li>Operational Execution</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>Safety Requirements</u></strong></p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p>All employees are required to follow the site EHS procedures and Coherent Corp.
