Description

Our Story Commissionaires BC is a Canadian, not-for-profit security/enforcement organization that has been in business since 1927. Our mandate is to give back to those who served and continue to serve in our communities and country. Commissionaires provides security services for over 200 sites and are located in over 110 communities across the province. Our client base runs from the Federal Government to local municipalities, airports, industrial sectors, and commercial/residential buildings. Our guards are not only behind the scenes providing security and access control, but front and centre providing valued customer service to the public. As the Fingerprinting Services Clerk you will be contributing to the financial success and growth of the organization through the provision of our Fingerprinting Services to our clients, security professionals and general public. Your key responsibilities will be to coordinate and administer the day to day activities of the fingerprinting services office. This position is based in our Vancouver office and Surrey Central Mall location. We are looking for casual on call (1-2 shifts per week) and a part time (3 days per week) Fingerprinting Clerk. This our offices are open Monday to Friday between 9am and 5.30pm (8 hours per day) with Saturday shifts in Surrey. Must-Haves 2 years’ experience in a customer service, retail and/or security role Ability to successfully complete security clearances (Public Works level 2, requires 10 years in Canada) Excellent verbal and written English communication skills. Willingness to travel between our Surrey and Vancouver offices Professional interpersonal and customer service skills Ability to prioritize, multi-task and work under pressure in a dynamic environment Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills Strong administrative skills Nice-to-haves Previous experience working in a security related industry and issuing security clearances OFA 1 Having a BC Driver’s license in good standing is an asset. Multiple language skills would be an asset
