Description

ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY Schedule/Hours: Regular, Part-Time, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday: 9:00a - 1:00pm, Saturday and Sunday, 4p - 10p This position is responsible for: Perform a wide variety of functions to ensure the safety, security, and well-being of the shelter residents as well as the building. Key responsibilities: Updates residents’ admittance cards and tracking sheets. Inputs data as necessary into the computer system. Monitors client's day to day activities including scheduling and inventorying passes, taking of prescribed medication, and resident's general whereabouts. Maintains shelter logbook through documentation, as directed by the Shelter Director. Collects male and female urinalysis. Documents urinalysis and Breathalyzers test results. Mediates conflicts between residents. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Ability to deal with people maturely and professionally. Ability to meet attendance requirements. Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language. Ability to lift light objects weighing less than 24 pounds. Work is performed in a lodge/shelter facility where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like. Work is performed in a normal office environment where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.
